Roguelikes and dungeon crawlers have been a hot thing as of late, and indie developer My Kung Fu Games have their own take on the genre in the works called Rogue Heroes. It’s not a traditional top-down dungeon crawl, but a side-scrolling platformer in a similar vein as Ravenous Games’ recent (and quite excellent) release Devious Dungeon. Rogue Heroes has many of the features you might expect from a game of its ilk, like randomly-generated level, character progressions and an inventory system, secret rooms to find and of course permadeath.
Rogue Heroes looks pretty awesome based on that video, and My Kung Fu hopes to have the game out on the App Store sometime in the “middle of April," which could mean at any time in the next couple of weeks. No pricing has been announced yet, but we’ll let you know when it’s available later this month.
