In what surely will be a night to remember for iOS game releases, particularly if Final Fantasy VI also hits, Baldur’s Gate II just hit the Australian App Store. It’s $15.99 in Australian Dollars which I believe is the $14.99 price tier on the US App Store.
It seems like the game comes absolutely packed with content. It includes the original Shadows of Amn campaign along with Throne of Bhaal, Fist of the Fallen, Unbound, A Shadow’s Life, In Defense of the Wild, The Black Pits II, and Gallery of Heroes II campaigns. Additionally “Easy Multiplayer" should make it easy to find other people to play with, even behind firewalls. The art has been remastered, the gameplay has been improved, and barring any weird technical issues this seriously sounds like a game you need on your iPad.
It should be available at 11:00 PM Eastern tonight on the App Store if this is a normal release. In the meantime, we’ve got a thread in our forums.
