If you have been reading TouchArcade with any sort of regularity for the past few years, you know that most of our staff are huge fans of Disc Drivin’ ($2.99). But something I’ve been wondering for a long time is what in the heck will Disc Drivin’ developer Pixelocity Software release next? I mean, Disc Drivin’ is more than two years old now.
Well, I finally have my answer, as just yesterday they’ve finally announced their follow-up project to Disc Drivin’. It’s called Danger Boat, and it’s an endless tilt-to-avoid type game, similar to something like Lane Splitter (Free), Chasing Yello (Free) or the sadly now-defunct Off The Leash, but with a dash of Spy Hunter mixed in for good measure.
As your boat motors along, you’ll need to tilt to avoid rocks, enemies and other hazards, while picking up tons of different power-ups and weapons along the way to help you out, all of which can be upgraded using collected coins. Check out the first set of screens for Danger Boat.
No solid release date is set yet for Danger Boat, but it sounds like it’s nearing the finish line. You can follow along with the discussion in our forums, and we’ll let you know just as soon as you’re able to do some dangerous boating of your own in the hopefully not too distant future.
