Here’s a solid reason to keep creeping around the 3D, real-time world of realMyst ($6.99): in a recent update, game creator Cyan Worlds has given the port of its re-make another polish pass, tightening up some distracting tech and visual issues.
Version 1.0.4 of the game, for example, adds in higher resolution text and artwork in the game’s books and notes, as well as improved textures in several “floor areas." This version also sees some minor loading tweaks and nebulous stability OS improvements.
More importantly, this update squashes some bugs, including the staircase issue in Mechanical Age and the generator and dock fore-chamber door on the island. A full listing of tweaks is available here.
It’s of note that realMyst is still sitting pretty at $6.99. At some point, Cyan says it’ll shoot to its “normal" price of $9.99.
