Everplay Interactive is celebrating the release of their multiplayer-focused dual-stick zombie shooter Left2Die (Free) by dropping the price of their previously released Spellsword ($0.99) to free for this weekend. In case you missed it when it released this past April, Spellsword is an arena-style platformer not totally unlike Super Crate Box (Free) but with larger levels, an RPG-like upgrading system, and sort of a different overall feel.

We thought Spellsword was pretty fantastic in our review, and it’s remained one of the more popular game topics in our forums. It’s a worthy platformer with great controls, lovely pixel graphics, and a lot of content to play through. It hasn’t been on sale anytime previously, and the sale is only lasting until Monday, so if you don’t already own Spellsword then you simply have to give it a download while it’s free.
