Coming Tonight: ‘Burger Cat’, ‘Illusia 2’, ‘Lock ‘n’ Load’, ‘Total War Battles: Shogun’, and More

It’s Wednesday again, and, as always, the App Store is in the process of dumping a whole heap of new iOS games into the wild. Like all previous weeks, these games should be available at 11:00 PM Eastern, or potentially much earlier if your App Store region of choice is centralized to the east of us.

The big release this week for me, and Jared, and maybe even Brad has got to be Burger Cat. Also, it’d seem that a cat photo exists for any situation, as you can see by this cat burger to the right… Which really makes me wonder just how much of the internet’s infrastructure at any given time is being utilized solely for cat photo-related purposes. I bet it’d be a staggering percentage.

Anyway, on with the show!

Burger Cat, 99¢Forum Thread – A game of love, life, and feeding a hungry cat a burger. We’ve pretty extensively previewed the game, so go give that a look.

Hambo, 99¢Forum Thread – A pig-themed physics puzzler from Miniclip. There’s over 200 levels and 20 costumes for your pig.

Fleece Lightning, 99¢Forum Thread – Regrettably, I’m not all that familiar with Shaun the Sheep, but if you are, here’s a game for you.

Illusia 2, FreeForum Thread – A platforming action RPG from Gamevil with multiple classes, tons of skills, and plenty of gear.

Ka-Bloom, 99¢Forum Thread – A physics-based puzzle game of drawing lines to chain together gems to feed to a flower. Sounds crazy, but it might just work.

Lock ‘n’ Load, 99¢Forum Thread – This looks to be a pretty rad little shooter, and these days I’m down for any shooter that tries to do more than just throw you in an arena.

MacGuffin’s Curse, $1.99Forum Thread – This “werewolf comedy puzzle-adventure" (Yes, that’s right.) won an award for best game writing last year. Neat.

Sam & Max Beyond Space and Time Episode 5, $4.99Forum Thread – If you’ve been following the first four episodes, here’s the fifth.

Saving Private Sheep, 99¢Forum Thread – The war versus the sheep and the wolves continue, this time with 66 new levels and a level editor.

Shark Dash, 99¢Forum Thread – A physics puzzler from Gameloft with a flinging mechanic that looks a lot like Saving Yello ($0.99)

ShowGun, FreeForum Thread – A free retro-styled jet fighter game. It looks simple, but it could be super fun.

Tentacle Wars HD, $2.99Forum Thread – A curious looking strategy game where you play as an immune system. It even has online multiplayer.

Total War Battles: SHOGUN, $6.99Forum Thread – A Total War game set in Japan developed exclusively for touch screen devices.

Trees of Life, 99¢Forum Thread – A game of building fractal trees, from the video, it definitely looks interesting.
