Back at PAX East I met with the guys from Mission Critical Studios to see their upcoming game, DrNanoX. It’s still in development, but they got me a brief trailer that shows the opening of the game and a little bit of gameplay footage. In the game, you play as a shrunk down doctor who is dispatched inside the bodies of your patients to manage medical maladies from the inside.
What struck me as rather interesting about this game is that the same people behind this game actually also do a number of commercial medical animations as well and it’s fun seeing how they’ve turned these scientifically accurate animations in to a silly little third person shooter/adventure game. We’ll see how DrNanoX turns out when it’s released, but for the time being, it seems like an interesting premise that I look forward to trying out once it hits the App Store.
Hmm., could be interesting, although at 1:36 I'm not sure where in the human anatomy a flying creature with wings would be, at least not in a living human...
I think I’ll pass on this for medical-education purposes.
Still, when I shift gears and think about it as a game, it does look pretty fun!
It is very nice game.Irealy enjoy to play this game
fly in the stomach?
wouldn't survive the pH and enzyme release...
If you look you can see that the patient is cut open. You can see the ceiling and a light up above. So I would think that's how the fly got there.
The fly is on the skin. You as the player are dropped down by tweezers and have to destroy the fly, mites, etc... then find your way into the patients body.
Ok. I'll buy that one. thanks
:-) I guess its weird enough for people to comment.
We are looking to make Dr NanoX a personalized experience.
We will give you the opportunity to have a more organic experience with engineered butterfly wings or bird wings or you can fly around in jetpacks, flying transports or personal helicopters- the choice will be yours.
