As Palluxo! reports, Tapulous‘ iPhone take on Dance Dance Revolution, Tap Tap Revenge, has reached the one million downloads mark just two weeks after its release in the iTunes App Store. Tap Tap Revenge is the second app to enjoy a million downloads, the first being the Facebook app [App Store] which crossed the line on July 26.
According to Tapulous,
“We have great designers, iPhone hackers from the good old days, award-winning Mac developers, and lots of entrepreneurial energy. Plus we have great investors, and we love them for believing in our vision: Andy Bechtolsheim, Marc Benioff, Jeff Clavier, Katrina Garnett, Khosla Ventures, Rajeev Motwani, Ben Smith and Rob Theis, to name a few,”
Tapulous is marking the the occasion by running a contest in which they are giving away one thousand albums. Winners can choose any music they want from Lala.com‘s catalog of over 5 million songs. To participate, just sign up for a Tapulous profile–free of charge. (Users of Tapulous’ iPhone Twitter client, Twinkle [App Store], may have already done so.)
Tapulous indicates they will be launching several additional apps in the coming months, including premium editions of their existing products.
