    I just recently got my ipod touch as a graduation gift so I'm fairly new to the app scene. I've tried searching online and through the forums here but want to make sure I haven't missed any of the "must haves".

    Paid games I have:
    Peggle
    Zenonia
    FlightControl
    Car Jack
    Flick Fishing
    Pocket God
    Stick Wars
    SkyBurger(got it on a free download day)

    Free games I have:
    Tap Tap
    Action Bowling Free
    Wolf3dlite
    Brick Free
    Papi Jump
    PingPong lite
    Cube Runner

    I like about anything that is worth playing, but tend to play more RPGs. Zenonia has been awesome and I tried The Quest but it wasn't for me.

    What other great games am I missing or should look into?

    If you like Sky Burger, take a look at scoops, it's ice cream fun for everyone.

    Star Defense just came out, it's really good. Real Racing is alright, Sims 3 is alright, NFS just had a price drop. Parachute panic is very fun, as well.

    Look at some of Gameloft's games. Their recent stuff isn't that great but Hero of Sparta and Assassin's Creed are pretty good. Let's Golf or Tiger Woods PGA Tour are also good if you like golf games.

    Companies that are recommended: Firemint, ngmoco, Gameloft, EA, chillingo

    NOTE: Not all of Chillingo's games are great. Look up reviews and stuff for those games before buying it.

    Almost forgot, check out Real Racing. It's a little on the expensive side, but if you have enough money, that's a game to get. Oh, and Toki Tori.

    Does anyone remember when Chillingo used to be the laughing stock of the app store?

    They have come a LOOONG way, but the were almost like that khailid idiot.

    Of course I am refering to Chillingo back in August / September. They had apps where you put your face in a cowboy hat, etc.
    And every app was bad at one point!

    Now I own Toki Tori, Knights Onrush, Zen Bound, sneezies, etc. - and there are other great ones.
    I give them a lot of credit for pulling out of the sewer.

    I second the recommendation of Blimp - The Flying Adventures. For $.99, you can't go wrong. There is a thread full of very positive impressions here too.

    If you like soccer/football, I would also suggest X2 Football 09

    Yes, I know this.
    All of the great games on itunes that they have were developed by someone else.
    However, there have been a couple of apps developed by Chillingo.

    It doesn't change the fact that they started out publishing complete rubish.

    Some very good games I have come across are;

    Peggle
    Tiger Woods
    X2 Football
    Real Racing
    Payback
    Fieldrunners
    Flight Control
    Uno
    Need for Speed
    Rolando

    Some alright games I've come across are (If I could go back in time I'd play a friends copy instead of wasting my own cash;

    Star Wars The Force Unleashed (too short, poor graphics)
    Sonic the Hedgehog (good port, terrible d-pad)
    Real Football 2009 (good game, killed by the bad d-pad)
    Super Monkey Ball (just too hard)
    Tetris (a real let down, just not very well done, all they needed to do is port the NES or original GameBoy version and this would've been MONEY)

    Some games I'd steer clear of are;

    The Sims 3
    Smack Boxing
