yeah LOL in another thread i had a mishap cos i spoke of the american language but very funny LOL not for here though anyway good luck
Oh well, I bought this game the other day even though I said I didnt find it interesting. Gotta say I`m quite surprised by how simple yet amazingly good this game is. Probably a but late to answer the question now that the game already got an update, but this game definitely IS worth 3 bucks.
I held out buying this for the longest time because I was worried about it not being worth the money. I finally bought it over the Christmas holidays and I am very glad I did. It has quickly become one of my favorite games. While I enjoy the variety of Run! more, Canabalt is still tons of fun and is one of the games you keep wanting to play over and over. Definitely worth the $3.
Did you really have to bump this thread just to say that? Maybe you could try a personal message next time.
very worthwhile the game is a great concept and I hope will encourage the devs to produce other titles, otherwise we end up with clone first person shooters and weak brand tie ins!
i think this is pretty funny that this thread has over 400 posts. its one simple question, yet the real answer remains a mystery
A great concept that was inspired by Mirror's Edge... You can either spend $3 on Canabalt, or you can save your money for the real thing. I'd rather spend $10 on the real Mirror's Edge than $3 on a stripped down clone of it.
You won't get THE REAL Mirror's Edge on the iPhone anytime soon. Meanwhile I prefer the simplistic (I call it artistic) style of Canabalt. Will get the 2.5D ME, of course. But that's just another costume for the same simple concept.
Patience is a virtue. And this is my last response to this thread. I don't want to talk about Canabalt anymore. It's a boring topic.
Of course you can wait for some next generation of the iPhone. In the meantime I have got A LOT of fun The app store and all the connected things like audiences, game lives etc are VERY FAST. The fastest market in the world right now. And It's a cheap and easy one. I don't have a problem to leave some bucks here and there for some great entertainment....the whole debate is just kids stuff, very funny to me.... While some complain and discuss others chill and have fun. I like side 2 more...
Hi, I picked this up this last week and have been playing it a little bit. Do not want to say it is not worth the asking price but it is one game I will likely not get a lot of playing time from. Found the flash version played on my laptop more interesting and involving. Just worked for me a bit better. I do see both sides of the argument here and probably would not have bought this if there had been a lite version. Not trying to trash the game or developer here, just not every game suits everyones needs or wants. David
Well, I bought it yestarday and I've been playing all day trying to destroy my highscores... In my opinion is worth every cent.
iOS Price Discussion Repository - Canabalt still isn't worth $2.99 I voted hells yes! Do you think the $12.99 price tag is going to keep a lot of people from buying this game? Or do you think it'll be a big hit? I'm really hoping it hits big. I'd love to see more highend games like this on the iPhone / iPod touch. I just finished playing the first hour, and it's incredibly engaging, and runs very well on my 2nd generation iPod touch.
