Here's a rundown of the one's I'm aware of. All of these are previews. Boing Boing: "The Incident is a simple idea executed with fantastic style" Slide To Play: "The Incident plays like a cross between Katamari Damacy and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" Pocket Gamer: ""...staying alive by evading falling objects is the name of the game" TouchGen: "...a survival platformer with a visual homage to games of yesteryear"
Oh and here's an odd one that I discovered just now: Business Insider: Let's hope it's going to be a big deal
Tricky question. How about: it's suited to both Honestly though, we made sure that it plays great on iPhone and iPad. When demoing The Incident to friends, an iPad works great. When playing in bed, you'd probably go for an iPhone. So, in summary, I have no idea. It'll be a universal binary so you won't have to decide
New Gameplay Trailer! Here it is: And yes, that is the actual game soundtrack you're hearing. Enjoy! And don't forget to sign up to be notified the moment The Incident hits the App Store.
It looks so ace, nice work! One of the best looking (to me) iOS games ever. Looking forward to playing.
Looks epic! Soundtrack really is something special and the graphics are a treat! Will there be an endless mode?
OMG, omg, omg. Trailer is full of amazing music and I love it. I had no idea this was stage based, I thought it was one big endless level. Meaning, I'm a very happy dude. Trophies, achievements, powerups = Epic.
There isn't an endless mode in version 1.0, but Neven and I are already in discussions about what alternative modes we'll be offering in 1.1. So we'll see!
It is still an instant Day 1 Purchase but, hmm, I sort of assumed a big endless climber. Since the only stat I'm seeing so far is height, does the game contain any sort of style based bonus points? Like extra credit for finishing a stage quickly, without getting injured, or for surviving some real epic leap of faith? I don't mean 1 time achievements as much special conditions that would get the player extra points every time they're achieved in a given stage (or at the end of a stage).
Your game looks awesome and an endless mode would make it even better but as I say, it's not the end of the world!
