Thanks for watching. This game is interesting Seriously ...maybe. I want to liven up everyone !! LN3000 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2009 75 0 6 TARDIS #5 LN3000, Jul 14, 2016 It's obviously inspired by SUPERHOT. HOWEVER, it's also obvious that the developer is CREATIVE enough to be able to make something UNIQUE that looks fun on top of the basic "time moves when you move" concept. So basically, I'm downloading it now! Otsuka Member Jul 13, 2016 13 0 0 #6 Otsuka, Jul 14, 2016 I am Developer That's right. This game is inspired from SUPERHOT. Fused with CrossyRoad was optimized for mobile game. Jenohart Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2010 289 0 0 Australia #9 Jenohart, Jul 14, 2016 So just tried it. A few things: 1. So there are no other playable characters? Only temporary powerups from the vending machine? That seems really strange compared to other one-finger arcade games, almost like you made the three other characters and then realized that wasn't enough. I understand but still, it's kinda disappointing. Part of the fun of other one-finger arcade games is having so many characters to collect, I almost feel like it's a missed opportunity. 2. It creates some surprisingly intense moments once the red homing enemies show up so I like that you captured that Super Hot feeling of threading between bullets and many enemies while also having time to carefully plan your move... so I have mixed feelings as to why you also have the creeping darkness that kills you whether you're moving or not. I feel like that goes against the whole point of the game. Like, why even have the time stopping mechanic if you're going to get pressured to go fast anyway? I get that it's an arcade game like others of this genre and they also have means of preventing the player from taking too long, but none of those games are based around STOPPING TIME. To add to that: 3. How do I pause the game? At first I thought "oh how clever, you don't need a pause button because you can just stop moving, genius!" and then the creeping black darkness killed me. So, how do I pause the game? Did you even think about this problem? For the first point, that's just how I feel. I'd feel the game would be more interesting with unlockable characters being incentives, as having them simply be power ups makes me not want to use them in case I waste them. It's not as exciting. My suggestions about points 2 & 3 is to remove the creeping darkness, I don't think it helps the game. Instead, not moving is your pause option, as nothing will happen if you're not moving that's as good as pausing the game. To offset this, have the difficulty ramp up sooner. Having unlimited time to think about your moves is part of the Super Hot experience, and once the red chaser enemies and boss enemy shows up I feel that it pressures the player enough that you don't need the creeping darkness there. With the criticism out of the way, I think it's neat. The presentation is sleek and stylish, the concept is an interesting take on an existing idea (I don't like the creeping darkness that is exempt from the time stop though). The minimalist style looks great and unexpectedly, the sound design is pretty neat. The soothing sounds of the jungle, the shooting and popping of enemies and the unexpectedly tense and intimidating noise that builds up when a boss begins chasing you. A good idea here, I just think it needs a bit more to have some staying power. Hope the dev reads this and implements them into the game in the first update! I DO like this also, and the sounds and music fit perfectly. I like the minimalist look too and those were the exact words I was thinking before I read the above post! Developer, please do it! Jenohart Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2010 289 0 0 Australia #13 Jenohart, Jul 14, 2016 You're welcome. For the placement of the button, consider what other games do. They put the button in the corner, out of the way. Shooty Skies (Crossy Road sequel) still has a pause button. Crossy Road used to have a pause button, I don't know why they removed it in an update. Being able to pause and resume at your choosing is more comfortable than having to lock and unlock your device every time, depending on how you hold the phone it may be easier and quicker to tap the corner of the screen. Pause menu also means you can quit/retry/change options quickly, if you decide to put options on it. Otsuka Member Jul 13, 2016 13 0 0 #14 Otsuka, Jul 15, 2016 You're right maybe. It's unique and fun. I actually played for about an hour today. I watched some ads even though I hate them just to give back to the developer since that's the only way available to do so. Where I feel disappointed is the temporary character unlocks. I got this really cool looking drone. It would be awesome to continue to use it. But I can't.
