    You were correct!

I was hoping it was going to be xcom 2 and made a case for it but I honestly didn’t think it was going to happen especially with Feral behind the helm (which is the best case scenario). Now that it’s going to be Feral bringing over xcom 2 expectations and anticipation couldn’t be higher and the price point is a steal. I am definitely excited for this game to arrive.

... now what to delete. :D

Would love it if the original one got an update, too, but not holdings my breath (since it was published by 2K, not Feral).

Pricey for iOS but I can see why it has that price, I’m just wondering is it buy for the one price and it has all the DLC included or do you buy the game and DLC separately?

I only have iOS these days so I haven’t played this on any system.

It has all the DLC packs included - no IAP. Per the Feral Interactive press release: "The XCOM 2 Collection for iOS will deliver the full tactical experience of XCOM 2: War of the Chosen and four DLC packs for £23.99 / $24.99 / €27,99, with no in-app purchases." https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/news/1052/

Same package is going for $39.99 on Switch, BTW.

What is the base building part of the game? One of the screenshots makes it look like the fallout shelter base building but that’s f2p how does this one work?

Also the pre-order is up now.

You can probably look up all the details online, since this is the same version already released on Switch.

Thanks for the heads up on preorder. Added the link to the OP.

This is the main reason I'm not going to by this. 2K games have a terrible track record of being updated and never forget what happened to Bioshock. I think we got a whole 6 months of enjoyment for that premium purchase before they just yanked it off the store and it stopped working.

This isn’t 2K. It’s Feral. And their track record is quite good (see Company of Heroes).

Besides — it’s hard to understand why people still care about that awful BioShock port.

2K is involved or owns enough of it that they still have to put their logo on the trailer. That's enough for me to be concerned. Anything with a 2K logo is just a big red flag for me to avoid on ios.

Love the game. Kind of hated the port. There’s no reason why we couldn’t get the recent Switch version on iOS.

That’s the big distinction. In house 2K has been quite spotty on mobile yet ASPYR had done a good job supporting Civilization VI and I have no doubt Feral will do a good job supporting Xcom 2. Although I do understand users feeling burned by Bioshock on mobile which is one of the saddest blunders to happen....it should have never been released IMO. Bioshock’s port was technically poor and the support was abysmal.

Heck maybe a bioshock collection at this point. IF feral helmed that project I would have the utmost confidence that they would deliver something much better than the former.

Sorry — I was referring to BioShock from the comment above.

Haven’t played Xcom 2. The first one was a very big game, with replayability coming for making different decisions on a second run. You can also play with permadeath for party members, which would also bring some replayability into the mix. It’s not a roguelike, though.
