Some are pretty tough but if I remember there's a built in hint system. It's been years since I've played, so I don't remember very well.
Thanks for the info. I didn't want it to sound like I was blaming the developers. They are, after all bringing one of my favorite games to the idevices. Maybe the iPad version will be releasing tonight anyway, I haven't read anything saying that it definitely isn't. *Cue someone posting a link saying that the iPad version definitely isnt coming out tonight.*
Precisely perhaps I'd be predominantly peeved by the publishers plain prudent precocity in phonetically penalising partaking principal purchasers' predicting the posters problematic purchasing plight pertaining to this particular painstaking pioneering provision per-se.
As someone else stated above, there is a hint system in the game. Basically, there's a book sitting on a table in the library where you can receive hints for the currently active puzzle. If you come back to this book 3 times (I believe) it automatically solves the puzzle for you and moves you along in the story. I "think" that the only puzzle you're unable to skip without penalty is the very last puzzle in the game. The 7th Guest was very accommodating to casual players. I think my Uncle actually played through it back in the day, and he didn't even know how to "turn the typewriter thing on. Wow. Didn't know that, but kudos to Matt then!! While the technology/etc behind the game was what kept me rooted to the screen back in the day, the story behind it and the writing is what kept it in my brain ever since.
Matt is one the nicest guys in the publishing industry, someone who gave me a lot of encouragement back in the day. He is still at it, most recently working with Id on Rage.
Haha thanks guys...I knew I'd get some cringes for such bad behaviour I'll be picking this game up later looks intriguing, not played it before.
Yeah, iOS gaming is really on the roll right now. After Infinity Blade and Puzzle Quest 2, i´ll sink my money into 7th Guest and Aralon aswell. Damn it, feels great to be an Apple User in these fine times. Gameloft can shove it for all i care, too many other devs pushing this platform with quality releases now.
I'd honestly never even heard of this before, which makes it coming over to the App Store that much more exciting. I'll definitely pick this up as soon as I get a chance.
Sorry to quote myself, but just wanted to confirm that the iPad version just hit the NZ store as well. Looks to be $5.99 US (as opposed to $2.99 for the iPhone version).
That's a very good news since with the larger screen the game will benefit for sure. Instabuy for me.
