They could be separate or depending on drop decide 50/50 whether you'll be angelic or demonic. That'd be sweet! Really enjoying this though. Keep up the great work guys. The new prestige idea / concept sounds right on. It's also confirmed every prestige unlocks 2-3 cards you couldn't get before it seems?
Having the option to keep playing and continuing fresh either from a card of mission standpoint would be awesome considering the randomized level / card selection would allow for unlimited gameplay (no end). This way if you introduce new content and cards, players of all level will be able to participate in it because there's no game "end".
I cannot find this game in Hong Kong app store. Why there are still many good mobile games that cannot release worldwide?

Does anyone else feel like chests dont drop nearly as much as in the first game? I seem to remember opening at least 4 or 5 chests at the end of each run. But now I feel like the only time I get chests is from the bosses. Also, why cant you continue on after you beat an older level? It was really nice to be able to go through am old zone and get some power ups and some hearts before heading into to the hardest zone. You could also make a lot of gold and find chests this way. It made grinding a lot easier. I wouldnt mind seeing that added back in.
@nickfury My original one is dead, all the battle cards are vanished, and the game can't be started, should I delete it? I also enjoy the newer one, but why I can't play the paid one?
I haven't noticed that the rate at which chests drop is dramatically different. I get chests regularly from places other than bosses, and most of my runs end with at least 4 chests. In the old game I used to have runs where I'd end with a lot more than 4 or 5 chests, but I'm pretty sure that was because of the second point you raised, i.e. in the previous version it was possible to complete a bunch of zones in one run, which could naturally result in ending with lots of chests. In China and Hong Kong, Storm Casters was re-released by Spellgun in collaboration with Hunan TV, and it's called Crazy Maiji 2, so that is the version available in that region. It's currently only on Android though (ironically, since there's no Android version of Storm Casters Ultra): http://www.spellgun.com/blog/2015/2/26/spellguns-crazy-maiji-launches-in-china Don't forget to vote for Storm Casters Along with a lot of balancing, chest drop rates were tweaked. We wanted to make sure that chests felt valuable and that you weren't getting overloaded with cards, gold etc. from the get-go. The current system means that player progression is much more smooth all the way through the game, and it's actually meaningful to get a chest. It depends on your device and region. Some devices can still play the paid version, but some won't. But yes, I would recommend shifting over to Ultra, since that's the new default version of the game, and we've got lots of cool updates planned. Ultra is the most stable, full-featured version of the game and we're concentrating on making sure that Ultra is a solid experience for everyone. Is there something you enjoyed in the original that you'd like to see in Ultra?
I just about flipped out when I read on the earlier page that cards we spent real money on get deleted when prestige. This game is great and that would have ruined it for me. Was glad to see the later reply about doing a progressive prestige as an option, so I'll wait for the patch before prestiging. Great example of the dev listening to feedback and making changes that the community asks for.
Wow wait that Japan storm casters version looks bad ass! Excuse my language. The heck is that? It doesn't look like storm casters haha. It's got all did types of weapons and classes it seems. & it's not made by getset? Huh But yeah the chests drop a good amount but they feel valuable as well. Of course you have your standard chests that drop junk loot and gold. But than you get the special spiked chests you sometimes find that can contain epics and legends I'd love to get some hints on these " awesome panned updates " hehe
Real good game but getting too many problems. It crashes constantly after 2 dungeon runs, it keeps on lagging and i experienced a bug where i did not get to accept my level up rewards. It crashed right after i leveled up and after reloading the game it didnt bring me back to the reward claiming page. Play on my ancient 4S lol.
^ the 4s is most likely the reason as to why your crashing. That device isn't usually supported and doesn't contain enough memory to properly function. As a result your going to experience problems. I believe your probably not running on iOS 9 as well which could create some issues to. Unfortunately :/ Congrats getset, apparently the Internet has you tagged at 50k daily installs.
Well Crazy Maiji is mostly the same game - it was converted from the code of the paid version, but they added new characters and changed some of the other graphics. It's based on the mascot for a popular "escape the room" type gameshow in China. As for the updates, you know about one or two things we have planned (warp locking, prestige upgrades), but we also have cool new cards in the works as well as other.. uh.. things. We get real-time crash reports, so we have a pretty good idea of what crashes are happening and we're working on the most common ones to start with. On the 4S you're probably running into memory issues as Zeillusion mentioned. Hopefully some of the fixes we're putting in will help you out, but the 4S is still going to be pushed to the limits unfortunately. Thanks! Pleeeeease add the ability to play multiple dungeons in a row back in. It was a good strategy for tackling tougher levels AND the game as a whole flowed better. Other than that, great job on Ultra!
^ I feel like playing dungeons back to back is cheap. Notice how it's rare to have full hearts in the game? ( esp when fully evolved ) I love the feeling of ' OMG I just got a heart ' because they are so valuable now and help a ton. If you were able to do what you used to, farm a easy level and fill up 5 hearts or so than continue on to another level, it would be way to easy. ( as people used to do ) Get set already explained as to why they changed it. It made the game very easy being able to farm for full hearts and continue on. It's a ton more fun without that option in the game. & thanks for answering getset! Pretty excited to see what the future holds.
Hey Get Set, Any chance you could make the game default to shooting barrels first as opposed to closest enemy? There will be times where Rufus is shooting like crazy at all these enemies and if he would just shoot the exploding barrel right there, it would make things easier. I know you can turn manual aim on but I typically love the auto aim. Just not when he wont target a stinkin barrel! Also, any idea when youll be able to roll out the next update? Do yall have a time line?
I hear ya - balancing the auto-aim took a long time and a lot of testing and in the end we decided that enemies should always get priority, since they can kill you. Exploding barrels are a special case though so there may be room for tweaking there. For now, to shoot barrels when there are enemies close by, get behind the barrels so that they are between you and the enemy and they'll get hit as collateral damage
That's what I have been doing. It usually works fine. But honestly, exploding barrels and poison barrels are almost useless if you can't hit them from afar and wipe out a bunch of dudes at once. Don't get me wrong tho, you guys have absolutely nailed the auto target mechanic. I am never disappointed by which enemies Rufus chooses to shoot at. Kudos to you in that area! Any idea when you'll be able to push out any updates?
I agree with getset, I think balancing is perfect. If your using auto aim it needs to prioritize enemies first since they can kill you. In order to get barrels I walk far away enough from enemies or just get behind the barrels. This has always worked for me and think it's great. If auto prioritized barrels there would be many times where I would have died.
