Ouch. That sounds very Sony-like in their lack of caring for the developers. With hardware like the Jag, ST, and Lynx, and the awesome software IP they had, they should have been able to continue their reign. But it sounds like the usual bad management situation in the industry back then.

Heh.. Tom and Jerry doesn't sound so bad. I was used to Agnus, Denise, Paula, Fat Agnus, Alice, Lisa, Gary. (Yeah, most Amigans know some of those.) :) Would've been interesting if Atari had got hold of the original Amiga/Lorraine project. Maybe it would have survived longer under them? (or not.) :D

Though I like this philosophy, my finances don't allow me to embrace it right now. Once I can pass the 3G onto my wife (maybe another year) I'll reconsider needing more power. :)

Yeah, full emulators finally cause me to jail-break. They'll definitely suck battery life (but I do like the mophie juice-pack, so I can live with that.) If you read carefully the articles on the c64 emulator, it sounds like that one might have been refused because the software pack downloads were implemented outside of the app-store system. With both the emulator and game-packs fully licensed it should be possible to get it released. I think we need to see a ZX-Spectrum one next. :D

Hehe.. I don't mind, so long as it's solid. My main problem right now seems to be the frame drops 3.0 has introduced to quite a few games. Hopefully that will be addressed in the next OS update.

Yeah, they've done far and away the best Amiga ports I've ever seen. Perfect games to port too .. the tall playfields, and simple controls make these almost perfect for the iPhone. (It's like someone at Apple wanted to make a phone that was great for pinball.) :D
