I'll definitely write a review when I'm finished. I feel I kind of owe it to you on account of the freenessossity and everything.
Dumb question: How do you use codes for games? Also, I'll think about this one, looks cool, but not ready to part with a fiver for it just yet
I'm so happy I didn't get a promo code. If I had, I wouldn't have been able to give you guys $5 for this epic game!
Think you can only redeem codes on Itunes, not straight from your 'pad, 'pod or phone. Open it up on your computer, go to the Store's Homepage, then on your right under Quick Links you should see the Redeem button. Click that, copy and paste the promo code (or a voucher if you ever get one) into the box, and the game is yours forever and ever!
You can do it from your device. In the app store go to "featured" and then scroll down to the redeem button.
Excellent game. Thoroughly enjoyable so far! Just putting my 2 cents in. I'm hoping for more levels to come in the future!
You can do it directly from any iOS device, by scrolling down to the bottom of the main App Store page, or the main iTunes page. You will see a redeem button. Then click enter manually, and paste the code in.
Interesting. Ten pages into comments in this thread and only one or two questions on strategy or getting stuck in areas. I'd love to see more feedback on the gameplay, etc. Not ready to drop 5 bones yet.
I've played 3 out of 24 levels. My sentence was somewhat of an oxymoron, using thoroughly and so far in the same sentence. I will say that each level needs to played least played three times if you are into completion because of the numerous goals that vary from level to level.
Hey there Mr Designer. I wanted to thank you and the rest of the Clutch team for making a truly great game. It's been a while since I felt the need to obsessively chase down a high score, but the score you posted on "Skullcademy" was akin to waving a red flag at a bull. There was no way I wasn't going to chase that sucker down. I think it was the fact that it was a score from someone that worked on the game that made me all the more determined. It was a great score, but I beat it. It was tough, and once I truly worked out the scoring I realised just how much effort you must have put into getting it. But I beat you, man. Now please excuse me while I rest for a year or 2 before I take on "Bonewalk Empire." *collapses*
Thanks for the info... I'm just wondering if it's a game where the difficulty will get impossible by the 10th level or so. Normally I wouldn't care but I've run into a few lately that seem this way.
Hey there, designer here again. Our difficulty does definitely ramp up, though mostly with regard to the boss sequences for each world (primarily as they are the only levels that at present do not have any checkpoints). Most of our levels you can take at your own pace and work through carefully or with enough effort regardless of skill level. The earliest levels are really just about teaching you the basics of how to platform with our mechanic; level 4 and level 6 get more aggressive as they introduce a speed-pressure component, and level 8 is the first boss, where you hopefully are able to put what you've learned in those earlier levels to the test. We have been collecting quite a bit of feedback on the challenge of the bosses in the game, which are the cause of a fair amount of both frustration and elation. We don't want to overreact too much to feedback, but we are listening to everything, and considering potentially tuning them down, adding checkpoints, or introducing some kind of tiered difficulty setting in a future update. All that said, at PAX Prime, we did witness at least one player who could beat our bosses easily on his first try, so there's a wide range of player types. We are definitely interested in hearing player's thoughts on the subject!
I just showed my brother this game and he could not stop repeating "I really love this game". He actually shed a tear because it was so good and beautiful. Anyways, is there any way you could have an option to adjust the sensitivity for the pull back so you don't have to pull back as far to goto the max. I feel that on my iPad mini I have to pull back too far. I think having this customizable would be fantastic.
Thanks so much for the comment! It's been amazing to see people connect with the unusual style of our game. As far as the maximum stretch distance, believe it or not, the distance you fling actually is the same regardless of how far you pull. A tiny swipe will send you just as far as a long dramatic pull!
