Personally, my fav mobile game. Ever. It builds so much on top of the great original Pixel Dungeon. I seriously love every pixel of this challenging gem. If I would have to decide for one mobile game only, this is it.

Played for 2 hours - and yeah really god! Even better than the awesome original, with the new items, classes, ability upgrade etc.
Hey, what’s that I hear? Better than Pixel Dungeon??!! I doubt it but what the heck…..sold. Edit; Installed…. oh my, what a gem. Much much more than the original. Improved in every way. This game is going to drag me away from my pc back to playing on my iPad.
Still haven’t picked this up. Picked up Tesla Force and Undead horde last night. Both are 8.50$ plus tax here. I still want this or Rush Rally origins. Just not sure if this will be too in depth for my liking. These days I like my rpg a bit more chill. Wish there was something like Hades on iOS. That is the best game I have played in years. And that game I played the heck out of switch. Beat it sooo many times. I’ll probably break and get this and rush rally lol

I had downloaded this and tried it. I liked it but deleted because of in apps. Again I didn’t want to invest a ton of time in a game with so many in apps. I love premium. I’d be happy to pay $10,$20$,…$50 whatever if game is good enough and I can own it. That being said it’s a big recommendation coming from you and huge comparison (even if not as good) for hades which is just incredible. So I will give it another shot I guess. Are the in apps that intrusive ? Needed ? I’m going to want every character of course as I’m a completionist that way lol. That’s fine to buy. Just wondering about the currency and everything else I still see there for purchase. Thanks again in advance for your time and everything else again.
I literally heard ‘ode to joy’ blaring in my head when I saw this post. For me, PD is THE most authentic and well made rogue-like on iOS and to have this lovingly crafted iteration hit the AppStore is just awesome.
Only just come back to buying more iOS games and feel like I’ve spent a fair bit this week already but all these posts are making me feel like I have to have this game too!
If you have the first and liked it then you must get this version. Feels like the original to play but everything is just so much better. You wont be disappointed at all. You could just wait for a while to study all the reviews that will surely follow, or maybe wait for a sale if money is tight. That would be sensible…… ….. ….. or like me you could… …….JUST BUY IT NOW!!
Actually it appears I did not play the first one at all, I’ll see if I can find a video of this one tomorrow. I don’t need to wait for all the reviews as it sounds positive enough here already, so I just want to see how exactly it works so I know if I’ll enjoy it but it sounds like it’s my kind of thing.
Maybe unlock the rogue. I seem to be able to go further with that character… Otherwise use your seeds, potions, throwing weapons a lot. Try do do surprise attack often. Play and learn.

Actually Otherworld Legends is one of my favorite games and IAP are absolutely unnecessary. That just lets you buy more characters or collect gems faster. I've spent some money on this game, just to unlock characters - I've never bought gems. And with the recent update they allow you to collect items (albeit slowly) that let you unlock new characters. Characters aren't that expensive either. It's honestly one of the most high polished pure f2p games I've ever seen and it's not scummy at all. Ads are only if you want to get a free life when you die or if you want some free daily gems. None of that shit where you see an ad every time you die or when you switch menus. If I'm thinking of only brawler games, Otherworlds Legends is by FAR my favorite game on iOS. I hope that becomes their main game since I prefer it way more than their other releases, and it seems very well received.
It would be super cool if this thread stays on topic. We‘re talking about a small, extremely passionate indie gem here that needs and deserves every bit of attention. Those f2p games have their huge userbase anyways. Thank you.
Someone asked a question and I gave them a reply. No one is dissing on this game and being off-topic is nonsense since this thread isn't derailed in anyway. If people have something to talk about this game they will post it. There's no rule that says you can't talk about any other game. Otherwise if someone asks a question about something else, are we supposed to ignore them? Also, there was only one post on Saturday on this thread mentioning the game of the week. It's not like there was some big game discussion that went off the rails. You're really making it sound like f2p games are some rich guys stealing money from this game with their huge userbase (which they may or may not have).
Sorry, didn‘t wanna come across as harsh as I probably did. But with your last sentence you‘re indirectly absolutely correct. FTP companies are kind of stealing money from small mobile devs, in the sense of people getting used to not paying anything for games anymore. Money, normally spent without hesitation for indies back in the day.
I have to say I really appreciate @L.Lawliet giving me all that info. Yes it’s on another game but that game was suggested to me in here. And I asked about it. So he was just being the good guy he always is. That being said a de-rail isn’t that bad. It just makes more posts in here and makes the game look even more active. There are still lots of posts in here how amazing this game is. I will still most likely buy this anyways to support and give a try even though I think it looks a bit much for me. Lol btw you did come off harsh @Rocco SE lol. But I think it’s just another example of being passionate. You were doing it for a good reason I guess. I had said in a few chats when I first started posting I'm not sure how fair it is to mention another game in one games thread. But depending on how it’s done I’m sure it’s ok. I don’t think it really got de-railed (well not till now anyways lol). It’s still a chat regarding this game but another was mentioned because I was looking for something with more action.
