Pik Pok always makes some amazing games. Though I wasn't too fond of the Maze runner. Actually seems really fun. The free card draw you get I don't think is very random so I don't recommend restarting your game. Some bugs, I noticed that online, the game loads in about 5 seconds. Offline, the game takes about 30-40 seconds. I hope they fix this or I'll think they're "penalizing" for not using your data plan to play.. Oh TIMERS. Probably the worst part of this game. But I guess everyone expected that. Maybe some people will enjoy it but the timers are pretty bad here. First thing, the game is simple and fun. I love the collecting and leveling bball stars + the bonus mini games inbetween matches. The graphics are beautiful as expected from a game of Pik Pok. That said, you start with 15 energy, an early level round costs 5 energy. So you can play 3 levels (roughly 2-3 minutes a piece). It gets worse, want to enter the tournament? My energy costs are ranging from 6-9 there. Awesome. If you look at the campaign, the game isn't even that long. But it WILL BE LONG because of those timers, you won't get that far. It's a fun game. But you're barely going to get to play it. I could play Angry Birds Transformers longer and I deleted that in 30 minutes. I can see why they did this as it heavily makes you lean toward putting in money to keep playing. But that just isn't my thing. Sorry Pik Pok. 5/10 for me. That's a bit generous considering I'm probably not going to be playing it again. If you make a paid version I'll come back but I doubt that will happen. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #8 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 22, 2014 No GameCenter... Frustrating, can't move along the campaign. PikPok Well-Known Member Nov 26, 2009 938 1 0 Wellington #14 PikPok, Oct 22, 2014 Thanks for raising the crash issues guys. The team is on it. If you can remember, do you know the exact moment when the game crashed? Was it going into the Power Play? When the ball is passed? When it was caught? Also, did it crash back out to the OS, or did it lock up? If it looked like it locked up, tap on the screen, because we have some tap to progress moments during the early Power Play tutorials that aren't communicated very well. In the mean time, you might have some luck moving forward if you power cycle the device. Sorry for the inconvenience. PikPok Well-Known Member Nov 26, 2009 938 1 0 Wellington #15 PikPok, Oct 22, 2014 One clarification about the energy system, your energy cap increases as you level up your fame (at which point you get a full energy refill too, so early on the energy system doesn't actually slow you down much). You can ultimately level up your energy cap to 89 currently. This is an arcade sports title. What research shows that freemium timers make even a little bit of sense in this scenario? Thanks for the many awesome titles you gave me. Unfortunately, I for one, am through with pik pok. But we don't want to get into debating or attempting to justify the business model for the game here over helping out people with issues and providing more information. So, your objection to it is noted and has been passed onto the team. PikPok Well-Known Member Nov 26, 2009 938 1 0 Wellington #20 PikPok, Oct 23, 2014 I've just been informed the dev team has pushed a possible fix for the power play crash problem live to the server. If anybody having this issue could restart the game while making sure you are online and try again. That will hopefully fix this particular problem. If you still experience the issue, then please post back here and we'll see if we can get to the bottom of it. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
