Hehe, you guys are making me laugh, first I am famous from the TA article, next I am declared a big loserz, then racing strategies are named after me (Connector's rules), and you all love how pretty I am in screenshots, haha. Wait timers and servicing times got alot better on a stealth update yesterday, and as Eli mentioned Firemonkey says they aren't going to play around with them, so now they maybe at a tolerable level, even though I would personally like to see the wait timers removed. You can close the app, even delete it from the multitask bar, and the timers will still time. Sleep tight my friend.
Haha, this probably gave me the biggest chuckle today, even though tonight I have been laughing like crazy, which was kind of unexpected, but I always believe fight haterz with humour and good looks. Thanks for the screenshot though, it is a classic. I will save it forever.
I know, but I am playing over hdmi tv, so the controlling is a little harder than normal, plus, I don't mind being a loserz, comes natural to me...
Woah that's your problem i think. I mirrored the game to my tv using the apple tv and noticed a delay in every move. So even though it was being broadcasted on the tv i played looking at my phone because it was crystal smooth. Everything is behind on the tv.
This is a side note to people who hate timers and want to play lots. YOU CAN FAST FORWARD YOUR CLOCK ON THE IPHONE AND KEEP PLAYING!!! You just dont get that time back when you go back. So if you want to play lots before bed then keep clicking your time forward progressively as you play to end timers till you reach about 6am then when your done put your phone back to auto time then at 6am the timers will pick back up and run out by the time your awake.
Yeah, well, honestly still feel about the same, cause I care about the direction of ios gaming. The issues of freemium, inapps, faulty ai, and others I can deal with, but honestly, the wait timers are just something thrown in there for greed and nothing more, and affect gameplay drastically. I have tried to be fair and impartial in both helping this game and given my honest feedback, but I am glad they did lower the service times yesterday to at least a tolerable level. You have to understand 3 days ago, they experimented with 20 hour wait timers for some reason, then yesterday, they reduced to something that could be somewhat tolerable. I had wished that Real Racing 3 would be the best ios ever, especially on airplay hdmi tv, but while it is an ok game, all the extraneous stuff has put a damper on it. Since I have only been playing for one week, my viewpoints may change, but since there is no icloud saves, and since it is nearly a 2 gb game, it may be hard to justify keeping on my new ipad. But yeah, enjoying the good parts of this game, and agree with Eli's review, and trying my best to keep this thread friendly and fun. Hehe... Anyway, I will be removing that signature in a week, just kinda trying to make a point more than anything else.
Apple tv has lag and a fairly substancial delay. Hdmi has no lag, and a very miniscule delay. So it plays pretty well on hdmi tv, though in a competition, of course, I would play on my new ipad. But for fun, hdmi tv rules. Read the hdmi thread in the general section, there is a lot of talk about apple tv and hdmi there. You can see there is almost no lag with hdmi mirroring, if you took this same picture with apple tv, bet you everything would not match closely at all.
Day=Made Some of the comments on all 3 of the RR3 related articles today just make me want to smash my head into a wall...Eli has explained many times that developers don't bribe people for good reviews, and he is writing about this game in a neutral manner....the only way must be the "hardcore gamer" way I suppose YAAAYYYY!!!!! Now what?

Well, just for a larf i installed on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus .... and promptly removed it .. Wow is it unplayable... glitchy graphics (no shadows, road markings, signage) and the framerate is extremely variable from smooth to slide-show ..... ok back to iOS Are people saving their gold or spending it? I'd kinda like to save it for a top-end car (even though upgrading it would be prohibitive too) but i'd also like to upgrade some of my other 8 cars with the tier 3 and 4 upgrades. Don't intend to buy gold unless they tweak the packs to be better value. Its horrible really .... i really want to reward Firemonkey for a well built game but i don't want to reward the payment method. Plus the game currently is missing some basic racing game features... like proper 1-on1 multiplayer, arcade mode, time trials, and non-lethal AI Don't know if its just me but i'm getting spun out a lot more lately from a rear tap... didn't used to be much of an issue but since yesterday i must have lost 5 races due to a wild unexpected 180
See the attached picture. Currently as it stands, repairs have no wait timers, but you have to use your virtual cash to fix them. Servicing has wait timers for each service and a virtual cash payment. Your service bars will go down, after a certain point, you will have to do both repairs and servicing, then you will be told how long your wait time is. There is no need to spend real dollars on either. See the picture I have attached.

I have been saving all my gold coins, don't know what for yet, but maybe for the ladies hehe. I got kinda confused after buying my 3rd car, but racer said I should buy another, so I'm probably going to buy another car soon. Here's a screenshot.
