I didn't have this game before, bought it yesterday and the frame rate was horrible. I completed some missions and it crashed when I entered a new area (third one in the game after the city and forest) so I didn't even run it again since the low frame rate (even at minimum view distance) was so bad I wasn't really having fun.

Chocolate Well-Known Member Jan 10, 2010 1,092 0 36 #69 Chocolate, Sep 28, 2014 Bought! Hope it plays ok on my IPod Touch 5. But if not I will wait till I get a new iPad in a few months, probably an Air 2. =) one.sixty.four Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2013 1,282 0 0 minnesota #70 one.sixty.four, Sep 28, 2014 Ok. This game is optimized for that. The iPad Mini with Retina Display, based on the post above you, I would be a bit concerned. It seems this game has trouble running on anything A5 or lower, and there hasn't been any support in a long time, so this game isn't supported for 64-bit A7/A8 devices. In short, unless you have an iPhone 5/5C or an iPad 4 (maybe an iPad 3, I dunno), buy at your own risk. It's too bad, this game is incredible, looks and runs fantastic on my iPad 4, and (when Apple hurries the heck up and fix the MFI control problems) feels like you are playing a console RPG. one.sixty.four Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2013 1,282 0 0 minnesota #72 one.sixty.four, Sep 28, 2014 The iPad mini retina has an A7. razorracer83 Well-Known Member Apr 14, 2013 199 0 0 New York City, New York, USA #73 razorracer83, Sep 28, 2014 Last edited: Sep 28, 2014 I know that. They haven't patched the game in a while, so there is compatibility issues with the new A7/A8 devices. Read my post carefully. The point of my post is that the game seems to be run fine only on A6 powered devices. one.sixty.four Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2013 1,282 0 0 minnesota #74 one.sixty.four, Sep 29, 2014 I see. Ok. I read it as "it has trouble on iPad mini with retina display, devices with A5 and below. Then, after finalizing your purchase, it may then give you the prompt to download/install previous version of this game on mobile device (for anyone who hasn't updated to iOS 7). I'm spit-balling here, so don't hold me to this, or make any bets on it. razorracer83 Well-Known Member Apr 14, 2013 199 0 0 New York City, New York, USA #78 razorracer83, Oct 2, 2014 They just released the iOS 8 compatibility patch, so the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6P, iPad Air, and iPad Mini with Retina Display should not have any problems now.
