I seriously don't understand the constant fits folks are having about installing iOS 7. I've got it on both my iPad retina and my iPhone 5, never have any issues and just about everything looks better and runs smoothly. I mean, if you really like the clunkier look, to each their own, but can we please get over complaining about devs using the latest software available to them?
Idk. I'm not jailbroken on my iPhone 5. I'm starting to think it might be for older gen devices. Looking on the interwebs I see its people who are iPhone 4 and older that get the option.
I don't plan on updating my 4S to iOS7 anytime soon because my battery life is already bad enough and I've done every tweak out there to minimize battery usage. So, gonna have to pass on this for now.
I don't think it's only available for certain devices. Either it's something the developer needs to specifically support and they haven't uploaded a separate iOS 6 version, or it needs to be free or previously bought (I've only heard of people not getting the older version option with paid apps). Perhaps if you buy it on iTunes on the computer so it won't do a device check and then try to download to the device it would work?
Yep, everything I've found on the subject indicates that this feature is only available to older devices that literally cannot run iOS 7 at all. Apple's viewpoint appears to be that if your device can run iOS 7, then you have a solution for apps that require iOS 7, and that is to upgrade to that operating system.
Some people hate change. I think iOS 7 makes the screen look bigger because the text is smaller and all the "eyebrows" and useless borders are gone. I won't ever go back to iOS 6 again.
My iPad and iPhone are both iOS 7 capable but both still on iOS 6. I have downloaded several "last compatible versions" on both.
Some people dislike the loss of a considerable number of apps they are still using/playing that are currently broken by iOS7, while they're actually A-OK with change. DBC
iPhone 4, can't get it to start, crashes after Unity logo. iPod 4 it says in the description, it's not supported
Pretty much the best of its kind (some still profess a preference for Aralon by the same dev). 5 star TA review: http://toucharcade.com/2012/12/19/ravensword-shadowlands-review/ You can check out the game thread for more player impressions: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=171123
Just started playing on my iPad retina. The game is really good looking and the controls work surprisingly well. I'm only about 30 minutes in, but I've already been lured into a house and beaten to a pulp by some devious bandits. Game plot seems simple but intriguing, but the real gem here seems to be the exploration. Slash up them chickens in town to up your attacks. As a side, though, does anyone know wtf you do with food? Doesn't seen I'm able to eat it or anything...
Fair warning, the game is a little buggy. I've already had an instance in which I had minimized the app to mess around on these forums, and when I went back, the game loaded me back into a world with no floor and caused me to fall to my death... Repeatedly. Never fear, however. Issues like this are easily addressed by selecting "Load" instead of "Continue" from the main menu, and then selecting one of the many recent auto-save points to continue on with your adventure.
That's what I figured... I was planning to update to iOS 7, anyways. Anyone know how long the sale is? How much time do I have?
