Updates In case you missed Blake's story, we've just announced details of the first updates for Flight Control: http://toucharcade.com/2009/04/15/flight-control-updates-new-maps-coming/ The first update, which we hope will be on the App Store by April 24, will include online high scores using our cloudcell.com technology (which we're already using for Fast & Furious, and will also use in Firemint Real Racing) and an automatic save game whenever the app exits. We're also working on some new airports, which we will release as soon as they are as much fun as the original Finally, sorry I've been a bit quiet on the forums lately, I've been really swamped trying (and failing) to keep up with emails and tweets, as well as helping with the Flight Control updates and Real Racing. Hopefully I'll be able to spend more time here once (if?) things settle down a bit
i think it was made that way dang i only have 155 i got to 154 again today before two planes i weren't paying attention to crashed screen wasn't even very crowded with aircraft
my top score is 61 and i thought i was pretty much getting lucky. 700+ seems like a pipe dream for me still loving it though
Ok, I just bought this game, even though I love Pocket God dearly, and I have to say it's very fun! I like the clapping after you lose.
I was happy because of my 151 but you are all freaks!!!!! or maybe god save photoshop...? there is no way to really know, so we have to wait for an update with online scores without tricks!
So which of the updates are all of you excited about? I'm pretty kicked with the fact that I'd know people in my locality with their scores. Also the way they ve used to grade us is a nice touch...though from the screen shots, co pilot is reached at 26 planes or more. Seems a small number for what is essentially the number two on board ...I'm already a co pilot by miles
Not in Canada. infact, it's not even the 24th here. Where's firemint located again? I want to say Australia..
the app description says that the new planes and airports will be coming in the update after this one
Hi all, the update has been submitted. We are not sure exactly when it will go live, it's our first update so hopefully we did everything right! Because we've included all the new online features it's possible it may take a bit longer to approve, hopefully not but we just have to wait and see like everyone else In the meantime, please feel free to post any questions here!
Great to hear you are looking forward to the update. Thought I would jump in and explain a little about the Online Ranks. The score required to advance in a particular Online Rank is calculated based on the performance of all players worldwide. It may start at 26 by default, but once a good number of players have submitted their score the co-pilot rank will settle down to a level that ensures that only the top 60% of players can achieve it. There are many more ranks above co-pilot by the way...If you have a great score to start with you will probably discover them! - Rob from Firemint
Thanks Rob for that explanation....so if I understand correct, my rank will depend both on my score and that of all others. And hence it could increase or decrease based on worse or better performance respectively of other players. Am I right? Will this rank be based on number of planes landed only or will there be separate rankings for average no. of planes landed as well? Or will it reflect both the parameters using a weighted average? If it's not too much of a hassle could you also tell me a bit about cloudcell? Are you using googlemaps for this purpose? Thanks
