Is it based on accuracy, number of shots taken, or both? orangeglo likes this. orangeglo Member Nov 6, 2018 20 4 3 #4 orangeglo, Nov 7, 2018 Last edited: Nov 7, 2018 The scoring right now is a weighted moving average of your accuracy over the last 50 levels. If you had 50 hole-in-ones in a row, you would have a perfect score of 999. You can see your past performance for each level as a graph in the "Score" tab in the menu, which hopefully gives you a sense. The idea is for your "score" to be a way to compare your recent performance against others, instead of using the long term metrics on the left side of the menu. I'm still thinking of ways to possibly make the scoring mechanism a little more transparent! vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #5 vectorarchitekt, Nov 7, 2018 I’d say the scoring is sufficient as-is, but maybe make it part of a quick tap-through tutorial. orangeglo Member Nov 6, 2018 20 4 3 #6 orangeglo, Nov 7, 2018 That's not a bad idea, good call. I appreciate the play-testing! Any other feedback? How has your experience been overall? vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #7 vectorarchitekt, Nov 8, 2018 So far, it’s all good I’m learning to adjust to the wind, and I do like the previous shot markers so you can slowly improve. I’m curious to see how much variation in the courses there are after awhile? Like you know how Desert Golfing had random crazy hills and hazards....not to immediately compare the two. Looking forward to unlocking some themes too. orangeglo Member Nov 6, 2018 20 4 3 #8 orangeglo, Nov 8, 2018 Yup, learning the feel of the wind is essential if you want to start chaining hole-in-ones together. It's super satisfying once you can get a streak going! Glad you like the previous shot markers! I think it's a nice mechanic. It took a surprisingly large amount of time to get it to feel intuitive, but I think it's in pretty good shape right now. You'll probably get more difficult levels as you go, but the random terrain generation is actually constant throughout the game. I think keeping the generator consistent keeps the stats and leaderboard fair. It's capable of making some tricky levels though! Some levels will basically require a specific trajectory to hit the target, especially when you factor in the wind. Let me know what you think of the different environments, and how long they take to unlock. orangeglo Member Nov 6, 2018 20 4 3 #9 orangeglo, Nov 11, 2018 Just launched a code giveaway!
