just ranting and for those who likes to do trading Was in discussion with an active member here to trade blimps for C-130... so i made an offer initially and got a counter proposal that he wanted 6. i was fine and accepted to give him 6 blimps for a C-130 as that's what he asked for. But then he replied back and now wants 8 blimps for the C-130. haha I think trading planes/parts are all based on trust and agreements to create the pleasant gaming experience. If everyone is lacking the respect in agreements and having the greediness when doing trades, this will just downgrade the gaming experience and make everyone not wanted to do trade because of unpleasant experience. ok done ranting... I'm sure everyone who plays PP enjoys the game. Let's all continue to contribute to the game and have fun flying!!
rant... So now I'll rant. I think it is stupid for you to rant on any forum board about anyone else. In this situation could it be that this person was negotiating with 2 other people and the price he told you was a feeler to see if you would pay that without scarring you off? Could it be that he/she just decided a c130 was way more valuable to then? Maybe it was an attitude you gave them during negotiations where they just didn't want to hear.
Here's what you do. Don't even do it for 6 blimps now. The original deal's been broken. Now it's 4 blimps or you just want all 6 blimps back (at risk of exposing the bum here). And next time beware, it's a shark tank in here
Such garbage advice. Understand the deal had not been completed. Also, their are a bunch of sharks in terms of level...but if you've even come close to having read any of the 1600+ pages you would know already that the "sharks" are some of the most generous people here. The "bum" you are referring to has never made a bad offer in terms of fair trades, so it's BS that he is being slammed like he is.
I usually NEVER make IAPs but I did the $4.99 package for 200 bux...just to give myself a little boost. I still have over 100 bux left. I know, it takes the fun out of it, but it's probably a one time thing for me...lol. Thanks to all for your great advice! Loving the hell out of this game.
I know i'll get flamed by some, it was a reached agreement and now broken, if the mods think this is inappropriate, they will delete it, thanks for ur comments
Go ahead and say my name man! You may as well as everyone can look back as see who you are talking about. Here's what happened. He offered three. I said I was looking for more and claimed I wanted at least 6. He said ok deal. I replied back that I had reviewed another message from a guy who claimed he would give 8. I replied back to you saying i was waiting for more offers. I NEVER accepted. I just claimed i was looking for at least 6. I didnt say you could get it for 6. Why in the world would I agree to deal with six when I could have 8? Especially when I never said I accepted the 6 deal offer. I said I wanted at least 6 but then I got an offer for 8. You act like we agreed on something and we never did. Seems like I have more on my side.
I don't see where I was unreasonable here. I never agreed. I claimed I was looking for 6. But never greed to anything.
I'll ship the other 2 blimps for free to sort this out for you two. I have like 20 of them, 10 of which will probly never leave the hanger. Are you in the TA1 spreadsheet?
There is no need to do that. No parts were ever exchanged. It's not like he sent me the 6 and and I requested more before I proceeded with the trade. Nothing ever changed hands.
offer... I'd say offer it to figment for 8...ohh wait that can never happen because he talked smack and clearly you would need at least 12 now...by his own logic.
Vic, thanks for sharing...haven't had time to keep up on all the news. I leave Friday for a week-long cruise I'll be sitting out the next 2 events....thinking, Nimblebit will get me by offering some AMAZING Rare Plane & I won't be here to collect parts. Ok, back to subject - looks interesting & old-school. Kind of Zelda meets Minecraft. Now...back to flying planes
You've already received some great advice from the more seasoned PP players here. So I'll just repeat what they said. At level 10, your main focus should be building up your coins. Try to fill up your planes with jobs going to the same city to get the 25% bonus. Save your coins. You don't need to upgrade every plane you have at this early stage of the game cuz you will eventually retire most of them. Upgrade the keepers. The small starter planes (wallaby, navigator) will be retired soon, replaced with Kangaroo (class 1) and AeroEagle (class 2). Upgrading weight will earn you more coins. Upgrading range gives you more reach. Until you are swimming in Bux, try to upgrade range only as you discover you need a little extra to reach your destination. Upgrading speed gets you there faster, but will cost you a bit of profit. Save your coins. You don't need to upgrade all your airports. 25 airports seems like a lot for level 10, I can only imagine most of them being class 1 (grey) cities. These grey class 1 cities dont give you many jobs (even with full airport upgrade) which would make it more challenging to fill up your plane with 25% bonus. Your job pool is also "diluted" when you have that many airports, which also makes it hard to get the 25% bonus. Try to trim down your airports. (You can go wild buying more airports later on when your fleet is more established and when you're not so cash strapped). Try to trim down the class 1 airports and aim for more class 3 airports. The larger class 3 airports give you more jobs. Save your coins. Try to expand out further so you can get higher paying jobs. Straighter routes will be more profitable. Save Bux too! You don't have to waste Bux buying every plane that is unlocked while you level up. There are some crappy ones you are better off skipping (this is my opinion: skip stuff like the PearJet, Tetra, and Fogbuster). Don't get rid of all your class 1 and class 2 planes as you level up. You'll want to keep some round for those class 1 & class 2 city events. Keepers (again my opinion): Class 1 you can buy: Kangaroo (carries 4; even P/C distribution; slow steady workhorse) Mohawk (carries 3; 2/1 split for M planes; faster) Mapple (carries 4; available on Mac or thru trade; awesome fast little plane) Class 1 rare: SeaKnight (carries 5; 3/2 split) Class 2 you can buy: AeroEagle (carries 6) Class 3 you can buy: Sequoia (carries 10; slow steady profitable workhorse; good for "set it and forget it" players, check back in a couple hours) Cyclone (carries 12; faster, slightly better range; good if you play frequently, check back more often) Class 3 rare: C130 Hmmm I'm probably forgetting something. Oh yeah, before I forget ... Save up your coins and spend them judiciously. There are some links in my signature below, links to some interesting reads. Some of it may be more advanced strategy and overwhelming (and not feasible) at your stage of the game, so just file it away for future reference. And a side note about the trading thing .... I can't imagine calling any of the generous people here a "shark". :-/
Faye, I'm not sure I understood all your advice. You're saying spend every single coin he has right now? Just kidding. Faye gave great advice and she's one of the most generous players here. I don't have the extras yet to be able to gift much but add me on GC (tfrichards92) and I'll try to send you some stuff. Tim
Actually that was just me poking fun at the absurdity of a Pocket Planes swap fight. First world problems and all that lol. On the trade offer though I'll go one better. I'll swap 10 blimps, a couple Sequias, a couple of cloudliners, and a couple of whatever else the trading party wants for a C-130. That's an open offer for anybody with a C-130. Once you hit the higher levels, you have so much of everything (coins, bux, planes, plane slots) it just doesn't matter. Which is why you don't really trade, but just give stuff away instead.
@MaverickX12 Add me on GC ifwhalescouldfly I'll be happy to dump a couple of Pearjets, Birchcrafts, and Equinoxes on you
