Any takers on the Glittering Gems set? Will keep for another 6 hrs and then they are gone.

@ awboj.. see Andi answered your question. Just make sure you get the real stuff. Have tried other brands and not as good. ChocoVine by the Dutch. A suggestion for a healthy snack - Nutella and Pretzels.

@MartiNZ.. I think I started with a few more coins than you did so I can go a little faster.

Step 1: Breed 100 new frogs a day but keep only 24 for gifting. That means selling the other 76 and all failures. Hint: helps if you start with a few extra coins.

Step 2: Race about 5 times a day. This is how I basically finished level 31 and 32 frogs. Once a color gets to 12 I go ahead and bring in Anuras to finish them. Hint: helps if you start with a few extra stamps to keep your mailbox empty.

Step 3: Breed some coin frogs. Hint: helps if you start with a few extra potions.

Step 4: Have some great friends that trade with you.

Step 5: If you get low on coins, stamps or potions. Go to the pond and hop. Hint: helps if you are a level 67.

All those months of operating Frogazon and Adopt-a-Frog paid off :)

Never heard back from you in the forum, xbeesquaredx. Waited throughout the day but no word from you. Set was sent to another below-28 level player. I am hatching 4 more eggs for another non-forum friend who can buy the remaining 4 from the catalog. If you are desperate, let me know & you can have them (I can send more to my friend later). But they won't be ready to send for a couple of days. Sorry for the confusion & maybe even disappointment.

That said, perhaps others are still offering sets or partial sets.

p.s.: Thanks to green for the Janus, awboj for the Fractus (in the right colors, this is my favorite frog, I think), & danj for the Axis.

Thanks Dom for the Temple Run starters. If no one requests them, I will send them out randomly tomorrow. I have two sets from 2012 left to complete and I will finally be up-to-date on weekly sets. :)

Thanks also to Maholah for the Tessera,
    Cygnet for the Vicis,
    Dean for the Lunaris,

and anyone else who sent gifts recently.

    A nice evening to everyone.

There are really nice people reading and posting here.

Thanks to Awboj for the messages with indexing tips and the confirmation that *Unusual Things Are Unusual.

It was like Christmas this morning, thank you Dlstar for the Anura and Ella for the Glacio, Tribus and the surprise of my first set!

Today I learned not to ask for things and go to bed with a full mailbox AND full habitats. Luckily the occupants of my habitats were quite ready to be sold and last nights haul of pond presents I wanted was ready.

And *Things that are Unusual - apparently breeding a green floris and a maroon folium amfractus make glass foliums, not a green folium. This is the first time I've run across this so far. I'm at 48% plus on indexing the Amfractus. How common is this in indexing?

    NB's New Game

The next artistic gaming endeavor from NB was pre-announced today on TA today: Nimble Quest (http://toucharcade.com/2013/01/28/exclusive-first-look-at-nimblebits-upcoming-nimble-quest/). It's a RPG, never my cup of tea, so I'll be taking a pass. In truth, the posts commenting on the details of the game & NB games in general are worth a read. It was odd that no one mentioned PF.

Most interesting point, IMO, was a comment that NB creates games with no real end. I guess that the "moving the goal posts" facet of their games weighed heavily in my choice not to 'dex.

Just as I felt there would be little adoption of a strongly strategy-driven game like PP by other NB game players of PF & TT, I think there won't be much cross-over effect with their new game, either. I'm assuming, rightly or wrongly, that RPGers are a totally different breed of gamer. NB will hope to sell this game on their name recognition. They are commended, however, for how agile their minds are in creating different types of games rather than just cranking out but another version of a pre-existing game (i.e. Angry Birds).

Curious as to how far off the mark I am. How many here would be interested in such a game?

p.s.: A pondfull of thanks for the froggies today: Snappy for the Mustacium, Andi for the Americano, & Martin for the two black Foramen.

    What I *really* miss

We had our issues with Plus+ but I miss one thing in particular & now most keenly. With GC you have to be someone's "friend" to gift them something or visit their hab -- I find this unnecessarily restrictive.

I'd love to just be able to send a frog now & again to a newbie who came to the forum not just to ask a question or get a frog but to actually participate. Yes, I know others do that, some in spades, but I miss the ability to do that freely.

My rules are self-imposed, I admit, because I don't want the game to gobble up my free time & energy but it negatively affects my participation as a forum member. Would it be inappropriate to befriend someone just to gift & then immediately defriend them given that I couldn't explain each time to each person? Do others do this & I'm just unaware of it?

    Would appreciate some input.

I call it the "love 'em and leave 'em" approach. A lot of people come here with one post to get X frog, then they don't come back until they want frog Y etc. If I friend someone for this and they haven't posted on the forum or gifted back within a week I generally defined (defriend thanks autocorrect). The first time I did it I felt a bit guilty, but then I realized they probably wouldn't even notice. I figure I gave them what they wanted, we don't have to be lifelong buddies :)

It is a shame that is so much harder with GC. These more official platforms also tend to make it harder to find people - no better example than games for windows live; even the leaderboards only show "friends", and how the hell are you supposed to find them, especially in RT games where the market is so damned small.

I also used to quite enjoy the "X is now following you!" that plus+ used to give ... always seemed suspicious but was nice to know people cared <3 lol. I don't like the idea of friending and then unfriending, but again, it used to be nice that you could see thousands of other people that you could gift/follow. If the game had started under GC this thread would have been even more important.

Thanks for asking, Java. I have completed "First snow" and am waiting for "Harvest" to mature now. I finally have just one left: "Veterans Day 2012."

Sent "Temple Run" starters from Dom to WhiteRabbit7

Thanks Meplie for a set of "Temple Run" Starters. Will send them out randomly tomorrow.
I am still behind on my mailbox. :)

Thanks also to Gracesqx for the Sol,

and anyone else who sent gifts recently. :)

    A safe evening to everyone.

And thank you for the Glittering gem set. :)
I will pass it on, so if anybody wants the set with Gemmas, please let me know.

As for the lvl 32s, they're not doing any good sitting in my habitats. ;)

Edit: Oh, I forgot, there is a lot of gifting going on every day, but I really feel the need to thank Sneeb (1.0.1) for the shower of maroon frogs that has been over me for a couple of days. *haha*

    Hi Ella,

I'd love the set if you still have it! I can't breed the gemmas yet. Would you like frogs you're indexing, or some higher value?

    Cheers : )

    Hail sneeb

Got to agree with the above : )
Sneeb, you sent me a starter set of gems, and I accidentally clicked sell on one of them :'( but there's a few floating around now : )
What's the best breed/colour to send you so as not to double up on your dexing?

Starter 'glittering gems' plus one glass caelus gemma?

Does anyone still have that starter set plus one?
I'm level 27, so can't breed them, but already have three, courtesy of sneeb.
I enjoy sending gifts back, normally have one of most breeds on the go : )
