The menus seem to have that black stripe, but the splash screen and gameplay don't. I thought you were going for some sorta "old school" feel with the menus haha
From the look of it, that bug was introduced when we upgraded for iOS 8 support. It's fine on iOS 8 but it looks like 4 inches screen devices running on IOS 7 are now considered as 3.5 inches screen devices. Simple bug, wide effect.
Doom resolved this by rebooting the device, but we'll investigate in case we could do something about it (we just identified a bug which disabled music if you'd go to another app and comeback, but I'm not sure it's the same thing).
IMO, this would make a good free game. That way, the cheapskates of the App Store would also be able to see all of the work that went into this and it should get a lot more attention this way. Either way, I will get it.
Yeah the market is a bit broken AND overheating. 6000 hours of works and this could still go through unnoticed. We're launching as premium, we'll have to cross our fingers.
It's been submitted! Finally! Why every submission is so hectic? I blame Murphy's law. Not completely sure we'll make it for October 2, Apple review system seem under heavy strain these days, we'll see how it goes.
The game is still 'waiting for review'. So far, we have not found a bug justifying another submission. Let's hope it stays this way! It's not exhaustive, but here's a wrap-up of the various weapons in game:
Good news!! The game has now passed the review process and will launch on October 9!! Let's celebrate with a poster listing all boats in game
Just dropping in to wish you guys all the best of luck for the launch, I'll be picking this up, not til the 15th though as I'm off to Spain and don't have roaming plan, hope the game does really well and thanks for letting me test, even though I've been quiet.
No worries, at every beta different people take up the lead and end up being more vocal than others. As long as we have a pool of players large enough to create some dynamics and allow for important feedback to float back to the surface, it's perfectly fine. Thanks for the kind words, and have a nice trip! On a side note, there was 2 very cool preview articles today about the game, on Pocket Gamer and Touch Arcade Carter was right to mention TA beta testers in his post, it's always a great privilege to you have you guys aboard to help out with a game!
Thanks! This was certainly wild, to the very last moment. We've been playing wack-a-mole with heavy bugs on the submission week. I can only hope that we nailed everything. In retrospect, perhaps we should have made a clear separation between alpha and beta instead of having a very long beta (and begin the alpha much earlier) but I'm super happy about how the game turned out. Hopefully this will be a shared feeling on release day!
Only a few hours left before the game starts rolling on various App Stores. That's exciting but also nerve-racking, considered that this looks like a big iOS week. Any last words before this thread gets locked? Just in case, mine will be: absquatulate.
