Sorry, my bad, the last part was meant for everyone, meaning tomorrow we will start assemble all surveys we've gotten and make a list of things we will patch into the game, thank you for your survey!
Just to make sure no one gets confused. We still want your filled in surveys and we are going to want them no matter when you send them in. If you send it in a month that's fine. We want all the feedback we can get as it will enable us to make our games better. You tell us what you want and we'll do our best to figure out how to satisfy your requests!
We promised to release the music to Phoenix Spirit and here it is! It includes music from the trailers as well as some unreleased tracks. Enjoy! Get them here.
Thanks for sharing the music! I was one of the beta testers for the game. Loved it. I'll have to go into more detail some other time as I'm at work.
I didn't really get around to playing the new build of the beta this weekend, was busy with several things. However, I will say that this is a game worth checking out if you like exploration games.
Some people have been asking us how it actually plays on the iPhone with the accelerometer. We wanted to do our best to comply with this request so we threw together his video of Tobias playing it on the iPhone. The quality isn't the best so if anyone can make a better video we'd be happy to use that instead when showing people
I just thinking.... How about some sound effect if the spirit move in different direction. It will make the spirit merge into the music.. ^_^
Thanks for the suggestions you keep putting forth, I do not know how i would make this happen though to be honest, but maybe in a future game! And for those who follow this thread and haven't noticed it yet, we've put up a new game which might catch your interest in the upcoming forum: Fall Of Atlantis. Forum Link here
To be honest, we weren't fans of it either. For the longest of time we were trying our hardest to make controls where you could point to where you wanted to go. But we also wanted freedom and with points controls you would have your hand in the way all the time. It was terrible. We also considered using an virtual analog stick but it really doesn't give you that feeling of freedom when flying around. It is good for action heavy games like MiniSquadron and Minigore. So in the end we gave the accelerometer a go and at first I personally was very skeptical but after a few iterations it worked pretty well. As it is now I think it is one of the better tilt controls on iPhone to date. You just need to calibrate it correctly everytime you switch position. Uhm, ya, I'm not including games that only move you in one direction like Doodle Jump here since they have a lot easier to make it work. After all.. it's only in one direction. I'd say give it a try.. it takes a few tries to get used to but now after playing a while I can safely say it is just as easy to control as pointing but you dont have your hand in the way.
I just wanted to inform you that Apple has accepted the version we submitted. This means the game will be out on time on the 17th of May! Mark your calendars If you liked the beta then we would ask you to help us to promote the game when it is released. We need all the help we can get to keep us floating and produce quality games for you all of you.
I'll help promote with a sig linking to a video but I'd have to do it tomorrow because I have no comp with Internet right now
Sweet, we made it on the frontpage! Again, thanks to everyone. Couldn't have made it to the frontpage without your valuable help!
sooo, ive started playing a bit and so far it seems this needs further testing! i keep on getting crashes and there's no sound whatsoever. which is weird, since im sure the testers woulda found these very obvious bugs, so i have a feeling it has something to do with my itouch.
