From what I've gathered, IOS 9 is causing the lags people are experiencing, regardless of the device...that just sucks.
The problem usually in these types of "ranks" like hero in other games only the initial 25 counts toward the HERO upgrade. The other 10 you get per day don't raise your HeRO level. Now I could be wrong and hope I am but I'm pretty sure that's how this would work. I'm also curious that if the Wanderer bundle gives you 150 gems does that counts toward your HeRO upgrade? Can someone who's bought either one of these confirm please. Thanks
Wow 2.5gb, that's a huge download! I won't be able to download this till I get home on Saturday. So... how bad is the P2W part of the game?
Give me and (I'm sure about other oac veterans playing this game) some other oac 1 veterans some time to see how brutal/player-friendly monetization system is in the game. What I always hated about reviewing websites is that they always review an MMO without playing the game for too long.At least a week is required for reviewing it,no matter what. Oh and keep watching Speedfreak's and Bnatesgamer's videos, they are playing a lot.
Gorgeous graphics, easily comparable to WOW on PC (in 2004 at least), about as good as it gets if you are looking for WOW on mobile. Classes, skills feel right out of WOW (I used a Blood Knight and just feels like Death Knight in WOW), but of course without Blizzard's iconic characters, charm and polish. Gameloft hasn't had a top grossing hit in a very long time, not sure why people feel they are money grabbers when they can't keep a single game on top 50 grossing and haven't broke top 10 grossing in years. Unfortunately this is not it. People are leaving WOW in droves and I highly doubt they want a watered down experience on mobile. Gameloft's biggest problem is it foolishly believe mobile gamers are looking for watered down PC/console games, instead of creating brand new experiences optimized for mobile. None of mobile gaming's top hitters have PC/console equivalents with the possible exception of Hearthstone which is a true cross-platform game. Even Bethesda went with a brand new mobile experience with their Fallout franchise, the mainstream mobile games don't care about PC/console ports! This game is just too slow paced for mobile. I played for a hour and just got really bored, deleted and went back to Hearthstone. Like Dungeon Hunter 5, another failure by Gameloft to return to relevance.
You again. You don't understand it,do you? They always want the best experience for free, they don't want the new crap that you're proposing. They want games like Fallout 3/4,CoD,Just Cause,Borderlands,AC,Far Cry,Halo on mobile for free, that's what they want. If they release a free crappy Far Cry jungle base management game then nobody is going to play it. But believe me,nothing lasts forever.Apple is upgrading their devices every year not for people to play games like CoC copycats and free pay2win strategy games. They will just ask themselves a question : "I have a brand new device. Why am I playing this crap?I want an fps on my device with brand new graphics since my device can handle them!I've spent so much cash on my device not to play this junk!"
Forget it, you can't educate him; f2p is his religion and he's a fundamentalist. But his time is over: http://toucharcade.com/2015/09/16/we-own-you-confessions-of-a-free-to-play-producer/
I'm not sure how the investment option works, but I would say only the first 25 count as well. The starter pack bundle counts and if you just spend that $5, you'll be HeRo level 2. It's a good deal I think and worth it except for the stupid butterfly wings. I'm liking this game so far. I'll probably get the investment gem pack since as long as you collect everyday, you get $25 worth for only $5.
Been playing for 9 hours and i never saw any timers at all. I've seen "limited access per day" in which various H.E.R.O. levels get the option to reset them i think. Like i said in my very first posts, my expectations are confined in a solo run/coop orientation rather than competitive, so so far my opinion on the game is still pretty positive. The fact that we can play the story like a pseudo-sandbox (limited to exploration and combat) ANYTIME without limits is a huge plus for this game. It's the events and special off-map missions that have the limited access to them.
Oh drat, I go excited for 0.5 seconds because the character icon for the game is Raistlin Majere colored. I want a Dragonlance game.
