Yeah I'm in the uk and this will probably save me some cash as I'll not buy as many impulse buys. It seemed ok when it was closer to 50p to just go "what the he'll it's 50p" but now it seems closer to £1 it doest seem as cheap.
Even though it still all cheap anyway this might just make me think twice before I buy any old crap.

Same here, it just means less of my money goes to Apple and our valued developers. Guys, I respect you all, but I'm now my support has been reduced to approximately 5/6 the previous amount :p

    8% here. $1.07 for $0.99 games, lol.

Another question. In the US considering it's cheaper on iTunes for them they can get $10 gift cards.

Does anyone know if Apple are doing that here?

VAT is automatically included in the UK's App Store prices. VAT at the moment is 20% (ridiculous compared to the 7 - 8% you Americans are dealing with).

So if you reverse the VAT: 69/1.2 = 57.5 which is the actual price we're playing without tax.

    57.5 converts to around 92cents.

So its our bloody government increasing tax in Jan that's caused this. We're actually paying the same for games without tax.

    Me sad now.

[Edit] If you add 8% onto US pricing then there is only a difference of 3.5p between the new UK prices and US prices. I guess we are not being too ripped off.

So are these the new permanent prices?

And why weren't we notified of the impending change?

Cool.. I just bought 2x 30$ gift cards for $40 and thought I got a bargain!
Now it's an even bigger bargain..
    20c savings isn't much, I usually buy at least 10 X 1.19 games a week.now I'll be able to get 12 yayz
Used to get 50 $1.19 games for $40 ($60 iTunes credit)
And now with the price discount Aussies get A total of 30 free games for their 40$
    Blooody rippppaa!!!
