Everything is still where you would expect it to be but here and there are tiny details that have changed and therefore everything feels and looks a lot better then before. Collecting those small Crabs still is as enjoyable as it was in the first Mr. Crab Game back in 2013. Running around while trying to collect all small Crabs in the Level is now a lot more challenging then it was in the first Game since the Levels aren`t only much, much bigger but also more challenging the further you dig into the Game. Besides those small Grabs you can collect Gold Stars in the Levels that you can afterwards change into optional Accessories (Clothes,..) at an Gift Mashine. As already explained before the Levels are way bigger then before and you can also now collect more small Grabs during your Rodeo up to the exit in each Level. The bigger Levels are, as far as I can tell after the first couple of Minutes with the Game, seperated most of the time in two or more parts and so you often will have to replay those Levels till you will understand how to obtain every single small Crab in the Levels so don´t expect it to be an easy run as the first Mr. Crab Game was. The current Build is very limited so you will have probably played through it in a couple of minutes and probably collected every small Crab in the Game in less then one hour till you will have to decide if you want to buy the Full Game for around $9,99 or not. Conclusion: Bigger Levels & more small Crabs = Price Increase of 10x compared to what the first Mr. Crab Game cost when it did Launch? I`m not sure if those that have never played before the first Mr. Grab will be willing to hand out that among of money for an Casual Game but I`m not here to judge the current Price Tag so I will focus more about what the limited Build has so far offered or what we know of how Illusion Labs does runs their Business nowadays so stick with me since the answer to the question in the Headline might suprise you in the end. The Core Gameplay Mechanics in Mr. Grab 2 work very well and in combination with the bigger Levels and the among of small Crabs that are hidden in the Game there isn`t any reason why I wouldn`t recommend the Game to anyone that enjoyed playing the first Mr. Grab at all. Mr. Grab 2 feels a lot more smoother & more polished then the first Game has and a lot of that fact is simple because the longer Levels feel a lot more enjoyable then those tiny and small one of Mr. Grab back in 2013. If you enjoyed playing the first Mr. Grab Game and want to get a better Version of it that has more to offer you probably have already hand out those $6,99 without any second thoughts. For those that are unsure about if the Game would be worth that much let me remind you that Illusion Labs is one of those Developers that support their Game for years with new content. Considering that the first Mr. Crab was supported still more then two years after it had launched I would even go as far as that that if Illusion Labs would offer an discount in the first Launch Week of Mr. Grab for the Premium Pack that everyone that would say that the Game does cost too much don`t understand the Value they would get in return. So are those $6,99 (AUS 9,99) too much for Mr. Grab 2? I don`t think so since the current Build showed me already in the first hour that it would be 100% worth it by taking into account that there will more Levels follow at some later point in the future as they already did for the first Mr. Crab Game. Rating: 5 + 1 Extra Crab for the bigger Levels. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #6 TheGreatEscaper, Apr 9, 2016 I loved the original Mr Crab so I bought the full game here without even playing it yet. But now that redribbon has said this is so much better than the first I think I'd better finish off the levels I hadn't completed in the original before touching this one! bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #7 bigrand1, Apr 10, 2016 Just absolutely gorgeous! LOVIN' the looks of this! You know-- the first Mr.Crab is a rare breed in that it's one of a very few that stays on my device forever! There's only one complaint about it, and that is there's no Android version! Would love to have it on my phone too! Maybe this one will!! Small complaint, though. In any event, it will find a happy home on my iPad to be sure! Can't wait to play this version! Graphics alone are blowing me away! If there's any promo codes, the dev can freely send me one via PM and I would totally appreciate it!!! I wanna be playing this yesterday!! # FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #8 FiloMJ, May 18, 2016 How much For The premium? slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! It looks really lovely, but I could do without the customization stuff; it looks like free-2-play trappings. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. A no-brainer for me to shell out the seven bucks to some great and reliable Devs in the past, and hopefully for a long time in the future, too. Much less frustrating than Mr Crab 1, and it seems to be a great evolution of the series! slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Jerutix Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2009 1,754 65 48 Male Ministry Oklahoma https://www.discord.gg/kingrabbit #18 Jerutix, May 19, 2016 I think the game looks beautiful, and I actually like the "IAP trappings." However, I think the game was simplified too much. I was sort of disappointed you couldn't drop the babies like in the original. And I haven't seen any bosses yet, nor do I think I will. I like it, I don't regret the $7, but I do think the 2 should be a 1.5 or something. cowtruck123 Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 270 0 0 #19 cowtruck123, May 22, 2016 There are later enemies that cause you to drop the baby crabs. No bosses though. Jerutix Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2009 1,754 65 48 Male Ministry Oklahoma https://www.discord.gg/kingrabbit #20 Jerutix, May 22, 2016 Just started getting to those. I've also hit a few sections where I fall down to an earlier area and can't come back to where I was because of a gate. Not sure if that's a feature or a bug. Definitely enjoying it more the further I go. Still miss bosses a little, but the levels are more diverse, so I'm cool with that. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
