Yeah well. You should have read what i wrote before, son I said,i didn't bought it because the promised MFI support was still not there. And i just don't play any shooter with touch controls, you know?I don't f*cking care about the price if it's a good app.I have a shitload of premium titles and dozens of (usually much much more expensive) music apps on my 128GB device,so don't tell ME i expect or even want anything for free.
Don't think it was aimed at you specifically just in general. One thing though, you complain about not wanting to buy a game that has been confirmed to get MFI, but then state that you buy tons of games and apps so money isn't an issue. Why didn't you just buy the app and wait for the update... Also anecdotal evidence is anecdotal. It does suck however that they switched to feeemium without any notice. But they have treated the early buyers fairly well, even better if you got it for $.99 in the recent sale.
So is there an in app purchase now for non veterans to not have to use energy like veterans? Edit: just saw on the front page that new players can buy unlimited energy, which pretty much unlocks the whole game to be a premium experience. That is the perfect premium model I wish all games would adopt. There is no reason for anyone to complain about the energy system when you can make a purchase to negate it.
Where do you saw that unlimited energy thing?I can only buy currency. For currency i can unlock different"power user"packs where i can get rid of the timers and more. Two days without timers cost roundabout 2,50 There is nowhere an option to deactivate them forever.I would buy it in a second for a reasonable price. @Mess:the reason i didn't bought it is simple.I've been burned from promises (but no delivery) more than one time before and why should i buy a game that i just don't play?I missed the 99c sale though...in this case i don't think about it,right. And i said i pay premium prices for"good"games."Good"in my definition.A 1st person shooter without Controller support is not"good"per my definition.I gladly pay for a good experience but that does not mean i just waste my money.
Is the energy thing just for single player or online to? How does it work, can you still just play online without waiting or do you have to wait to join another game? The controller support was long over due and at this point I don't care and have no intentions of playing this game but still curious.
I just saw that it was in the story on the front page that there was an option to buy unlimited energy. I'm a veteran so I haven't looked.
I think the entire game is online? That's actually the reason I didn't buy this game in the first place. It requires the Internet whether you're playing multiplayer or not. If it had an offline mode I would have bought it the moment it released.
What"front page"do you mean? The first screen when i open MC5? Are you sure it was not just the"veteran"unlock for existing players?
You have got to be kidding me i still have the weapon xp unLock bug so how do i unlock the tier 6 weapons and the weapons for the new support class now like seriously?
I think he was referring to this though it only says that you can purchases unlimited energy for a limited time (power player status which also gives you exp boosts etc).
Yeah I bought it on day 1! Cool! But how does it work otherwise? Does it lock the game after you've played for a while or something?
It would appear to be your stranded energy system, play a few levels before you run out of energy (with each mission depleting some of it) and waiting for it to recharge. Don't quote me on that though, as I also got the game right when it launched so I'm just assuming.
I mean, i've been dc'ing from lobbies after 2-3 minutes of playing(which shouldn't be happening at all). However I got the "server overloaded" error when trying to access team battle or zone control right after being dc'd.
Haven't played yet and while I like the sound of the additions and veteran status, the currency seems screwy. Given that they may use this F2P model from the start in future games, I'm not sure it will work. The timer sounds too strict and the prices for temporary removal are high. Guess we'll see. Also, I appreciate getting the free 200 in currency but wish I could buy the extra 40 to get 3 elite supply packs. I can only purchase 100 for $4.99 which would leave me with 60 in useless currency.
Honestly I wouldn't bother man... Seeing as how I've never used the actual "currency", I screwed up and hit some button in the power pack area that cost me either 20 or 40 of my "freebies". I used the rest on some of the packs, which like you brought me down to either 20/40/60, some # too low to use. I was just going to try to ignore it but, finally my OCD got the best of me, so I did the math and got the $4.99 pack, and got 3 or 4 packs, brought it down to zero. Anyhow, of the 3 or 4 from my freebies, and the 3 or 4 I bought, I got literally not one useful thing. I got probably 5 or 6 "Weapon score" or "XP score" things (useless as I'm maxed), some stupid badge things (don't care), some attachments I already had (converted to useless "dust"). I literally laughed out loud at how lame and worthless every single thing was. No masks, no guns, not that I really even care about those either but, they would have been something I at least could have USED. Ah well, honestly the chuckle I got out of it was worth the $5, but I would advise anyone else who is even remotely good at this game, to pass on those.
Should i begin updating the TA squads again? I imagine a lot more people are going to start playing. Not sure if a lot more people from TA are going to be playing though I think ultimately gloft made the right decision though. Clearly they were not making a big enough profit to support the game, so either can the game or make it F2P. Plus they absolutely did not screw over the people who bought the game before hand. Yes the F2P mechanics need a couple tweaks here and there, but thats something a little update can fix. Happens with all F2P games at launch. The launch version never ends up being the final version
Hey, didn't realize you were a member here. I'll probably just get 2 elite packs and be done with it but yeah, a little OCD here too. I'm just glad that I have more weapons and another class to upgrade. Did the upgrade increase the level cap again? I don't have any SPs to spend on support class.
