He obviously hasn't looked into the masks and pro weapons. All offer a trade off in certain areas. Like the pro Ufia has a boost in accuracy but has less ammo capacity. Doesn't mean pay to win at all.

I experienced this too. I had none of the assault rifles unlocked before the update and afterward I had all of them. Same thing for the sniper which is the only other class I didn't have all the unlocks in. This is definitely happening for a few people. I just saw a level 7 who had the Red unlocked already which seems very unlikely.

Edit: looking into this some more, it appears the whole unlock system is broken. I had 3 of the grips unlocked for the Red and 3 of the scopes. I finished a round of TDM and notice that no unlock progress was shown to me. I played another round and the same thing happened. I backed out and checked my load out, all of the attachments for the Red had been unlocked. The only thing I can think of is that the latest update broke the unlock system for some people but not all.

I don't care too much about the whole IAP stuff (it's not too Pay-To-Win-ish), but can we instead talk about how the battlepacks are a pretty awful coppy of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare's supply drop system?

In CoD it's there to constantly give you new stuff and keep you playing, where as in MC5 it's there to get "whales" to spend ridiculous ammounts of money on fairly pointless items. It's just another one of many missed opportunities, in this case for the sake of gameloft to get a little bit of extra cash from people who don't realise what a terrible deal this actually is when paying for this stuff.

I thought Gameloft "prided" themselves that this game wouldn't have IAP or did I read the previous articles wrong?

Am I the only one who loves the streets and construction site maps? I dislike the canals the most. Scramble is also growing on me.

How exactly are Elite and Supply packs earned? Is it random?

Unless you buy them of course

I don't think I've ever seen one. But then again, I have no idea where to look.

I found a good chunk of the new additions in the update confusing. I don't understand the leagues at all. Is gold I better or worse than gold III? And what's the point? Why do my League points plummet when I lose but go up only slightly when I win? Does it matter? Lastly, where is my personal rating?

    Gyro sensitivity

Do you use the gyroscope or a joystick? I wonder if you are alluding to the former in your complaint about accuracy.

I have observed a problem with MC5 whereby the gyroscopic sensitivity is too low, even when set at 100%, when one is firing from the hip. I find that I have to actually supplement it with my thumb when trying to snap to a close and moving enemy. This was not the case with either of the previous two MC games and it is frustrating that they've introduced this basic problem while at the same time making such a good game and ironing out so many of the kinks that plagued the previous instalments. Also, I haven't heard anyone else complaining about this issue so I can only assume that it is because most people use a joystick rather than the gyro.

They aren't physical packages you find in game. You just get a notification at the end of a match. At least that's how it happened for the one that I unlocked.

I'm using the joystick. The problem with accuracy is more about server / player lag I think. Same with grenade suicide and being shot through walls. Or maybe the hitboxes are just very badly implemented. I don't know... I still think gameplay is smoother than before but all the bugs present before the update are still here. They just appear less often.

You didn't read them wrong. (http://toucharcade.com/2014/05/23/modern-combat-5-no-iap/) Google will give you plenty of other links to articles saying the same thing as to there being no IAPs.

I don't know if "prided" is the right word. More like they wanted as much money as possible up front and instead of doing like other devs have done recently and added in "at launch" in the interviews and information sessions, they seemingly left it out. Sure it could be that they simply reversed their stance and no, the IAPs don't ruin the game but it is bad form considering it was one of their initial selling points.

As for the recent update, I have to agree with the bugs and glitches being less prominent. When they do appear, they are the same or worse as before but it isn't every match I'm being shot through walls so that is progress.

I don't play this much anymore as I found it quite boring due to lack of content. The 2 "new" maps aren't even that great. Ok for a change but not great or even remotely memorable. The lag is at times unplayable but when everything is working right there is still some sparse fun to be had here.

Sadly this one is probably getting uninstalled due to being a huge memory hog and offering very little in terms of new or even fixed content. The good news is that the game unlocked all my weapons with the last patch. I can't earn some of the attachments for the snipers I hadn't unlocked that magically are now open to use and all my shotguns appear to have stopped unlocking attachments but it is what it is I suppose. As someone already mentioned, it be broke.

I got $7 worth of fun out of it I guess upon initial release but I really do wish there was a mostly bug free FPS on iOS that had multiplayer. CoD Strike Team was so good (even if it didn't have online multiplayer) it makes me wish that Activision would re-hire those folks and port a simplified version of any of the recent CoD titles (even the PS Vita CoD would do). I don't regret the money I spent overall but I am really disappointed that Gameloft has dropped the ball with this one.

Actually, every single OFFICIAL statement from Gameloft or any Gameloft representative directly said there would be no iap "at launch".
It was literally in every single pre release stream, tweet, press release, Facebook post, email, blog post and whatever other medium they used before release.
"At launch" was a key wording they used in any communication I had with them or any communication they made about it.
They never once said that there never would be iap and the dev team manager clearly stated that cosmetic type items were being considered before launch but not finalised.
I'd link all the pre release information that said as much but that would take forever.
It's not exactly their fault that not every article included "at launch" but the majority did and everything I saw directly from them on social media said as much.

Im actually having a blast playing this and the other fps. Been on a shooter kick playing mc3-5, blitz birgade, trigger fist, & respawnables.

The lag getting shot behind cover sucks but almost every game i played on consoles or iphones has that issue.

One thng i dislike is he spawn camping... However that will never go away in any respawning game.

No paying for anything either on this just going to grind. I had already bought 3 and 4 so i got this for 99cents for the group package.

Is anyone having big problems with the update like android? Here, if you log into your social media, you cannot change your name, it stays your real name (ex: Henry R.)
Also the league system is terribly messed up. For example I once had a league score of -284628. Now my league score is over 100 million. If you lose games you may gain points and vise versa. ( look at screenshots)

Hoping a Gameloft admin is here to see this :/

Also, for the people that havent already got all the attachments, many people have glitches where the weapon score is negative and impossible to unlock. Seems like this is only on android

This game is very highly enjoyable. I was loving BIA 3, until I decided to buy this one. Now BIA 3 is collecting dust. That will change though.
