Just wondering here... Did any of you play (and by play I mean at least 100 hours) of MC1, MC2 and MC3 each?
I doubt anyone has played MC1 for that long (because the multiplayer was released like a year after the game and wasn't all that great), but I probably did play MC2 and MC3 for more than 100 hours. (They're best when you have a few friends to play localy with.)
Minimum 500 hours plus in mc3. Alone. That is still the smallest number across the board in any MC game that I've invested. I gave up on mc3 it early because I hate hackers. A lot.
I have confidence that the A5 will do fine running the game. And as for the A5X gameloft knows we want graphic effect over retina display so if they put the resolution to 720p it will probably run great.
Sept 02nd 2009 release date for 1st MC. Update to multiplayer dec 05th 2009. TA Article. http://toucharcade.com/2009/12/05/modern-combat-online-multiplayer-update-now-live/ Forum page shows it was great game for tech of the time http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=24231 3 months ain't like a year proper and online multiplayer fps "wasn't that great" ain't exactly right.
At the time modern combat sandstorm was the best online shooter to get on the iPhone (besides nova or eliminate). I put a few hours into it but I don't think 100 hours is needed to really "play" a game though. I mainly only put about 50 hours into most games and even console games.
Original NOVA launched dec 16th 09. Modern Combat had multiplayer added on Dec 05th 09. Eliminate November 02nd 2009. Eliminate was the only one out before it. Nova came after it.
So he didn't say anything wrong did he...? He only said that there were 3 good multiplayer FPS games and MC1 was one of them at that time. Anyway... Heres another question. Are you all planning on abandoning previous MC games when MC4 hits the market?
There's no gameplay or game content other than a swoop over a map? Not a brilliant trailer but still, it seems pretty real and that's all that matters
Well I abandoned MC2 until MC3 got unbearable. Now I play MC2 more. So yeah, I'll probably play them at least a little
