Yeah! We can all hope can't we. Never thought iOS gaming would even come this far. My requests, as impossible as they may seem, aren't too far off from what the almighty A5 can do.
The problems (crashes) happening on this game.....Anyone having them happen with a iPad 2 ? Wasn't sure if it was mainly older hardware....or with everything. Thanks !
I haven't had a single crash yet while playing on an iPad 2. I've just unlocked the final cup/set of races, so that should give you a pretty decent idea about how long I've been playing.
You didn't run into any steering issues along the way? I still can't place in 1 of the races and it prevents me from moving forward. I am hoping for the update to come out sometime tonight. Been playing the same tracks over and over and that gets repetitive when you don't have anything to play twords.
Thanks I appreciate you letting me know Seems like the older the iPad 1 gets...the more new games just aren't running as good on it. I think when they say it's been optimized for the iPad 2....that means bad news for the iPad 1...lol
Dear binary, I hope the current incoming update will address dead zones on tracks where cars get stuck even though they are clearly on the Tarmac. Cars also tent to get stuck if one drives too close to a railing when I think they should grind agaisnt it instead which should result in a decrease in momentum. Also would be nice after your car has flipped over from a jump, to be respawned where you landed instead of from the initial jumping point. Respawning time should also not take the 10 seconds it normally does cause by that time, it's hard to catch up with anyone. Lastly, in future updates, I'd love to see larger tracks that would take longer to lap and of course 6 to 10 car online multiplayer(preferably NOT via game center!)
Oh, just no crashing. I did get the steering bug with the wheel on one angle of Grand Prix (reverse), and also later on Tarmac - though it was only slightly off and still playable. So 3 tracks all up (Grand Prix twice), I managed to pass them all with the tank controls, took some getting used to though.
I think longer tracks would be awesome too, BUT; it seems to me they are using the "Mini" theme for everything in the game - tracks included. Longer tracks, while fun, wouldn't really fit.
Game Impressions Played for a while. I'm evaluating to delete Reckless Racing and Vs. Racing for inadequacy. I'm joking, they're are good games ;-) MMR is the right compromise between classic and modern. The controls are excellent, as all the rest. The only things that I don't like are the noise of engines and major loss of frame rate in the most chaotic situations. With the addition of online multiplayer we can call it masterpiece. It depends. How can you have same MMR "wheel" with real stick? As far as I know you can't "rotate" on theirself real buttons. I agree: yes for more scene elements, no for weapons.
Just thought I'd mention. I'm using an iPod 4g and whenever it starts crashing after races. Turning my iPod off and on again fixes it, so I can atleast finish another 10'ish races. Atleast it's a temp solution until the patch.
MAN i love the Spoiler Fruit Ninja level i wasnt expecting it xD, did Spoiler Half-brick help to the development of this game or something? anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy awesome xD !!
