I highly recommend u atleast look at frogatto....seriously one of the most underrated and/or underplayed games ever. Def worth the 5$ , feels like a super nintendo game not just in graphics but quality [hqyoutube]Od0qZbhBlzA[/hqyoutube]
Yeah, I'll probably get that once I start to get bored with all my current games I got (I just bought about 5). I've played it on my mac, and really enjoyed it!
Not sure if you have bought this yet, but Gunman Clive is a fun little platformer, even if a little short. However, from the people I've talked to who've played it, you'll either think it is really easy or really hard. I thought it was really hard, as I'm used to the platforming of League of Evil, which is far different from the platforming of Gunman Clive.
Oh well in that case give Terra Noctis and/or Shantaes risky revenge a try... Kinda wasn't expecting someone to have already played frogatto but I forget it was on Mac before...
Helsing's Fire. It does get tricky at the end but not ridiculously hard. If you like GoF2 and are out done with the rest, why not? Well obviously the other Rocketcat games, Mage Gauntlet and Hook Champ/Hook Worlds. Jeff Minter's games. Adventure Bar Story. Swordigo!!! And check the game of the week threads.
Any good games with RPG elements and tons of upgrades, but no IAPs to make the game easier (content IAPs are fine)?
Does anyone know of any TRPGs like FFT, that arent FFT or Hunters 2 /w a long game progression/skirmishes kinda thing? Also, is Puzzle Quest 2 good? I saw a lot of reviews saying it was really glitchy and such. I really like the idea of a matching game with RPG elements. And is Starbase Orion or Ascendancy any good? And if so, which one do you recommend? Thanks!
I'm hearing a lot of good things about SpellTower, but I already own Puzzlejuice, is there any reason I should get SpellTower? (Sorry for the double post, could a mod wait until my question gets answered before they delete this post?)
Yeah, Dungeon Raid should pretty much be a default app that comes with every iPhone sold and iOS update.
Awesome new featured list from Apple this week. Nothing unexpected, but it sure is pretty to look at. Need to grab Crow, SpellTower, Burnout Crash, and Soulcalibur eventually.
Strategy RPG my main suggestion would be Squids, has some good depth and nice combat, it does emphasize a bit more on eye-hand coordination but still good strategy involved. Rimelands is a great pure strategy game, a little on the short end, but was worth every penny in my opinion. And if you haven't picked it up, Battleheart is an amazingly intense real-time take on the strategy rpg formula, beautiful visuals too. Hope those help.
Yeah I already have Dungeon Raid and Battleheart, I beat battleheart in approximately a day and dungeon raid I've racked up about 60+ hours, I'll have to check into Squids and Rimelands, thanks!
Starbase Orion is very good and very deep, so there is a ton of replayability there. The learning curve was a bit steep for me, but once you get some of the basics down, it really takes off from there.
Ugh, I answered your question, but get no love. Get Swordigo and check out the game of the week threads. Here I'll do all the work for you. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=128859 http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=128000 http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=126748 http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=125821 http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=125018
Madcoaster comes to mind. It just got a very substantial update, one that has shot it up to my top endless runners on iOS.
I want to start playing RTS, which games are good for getting into the genre? Is Hunters 2 worth a try?
Hunters 2 is actually a TBS, where you get an unlimited amount of time to make your moves. There are only a few RTS games on the iOS. You should check out Starfront, Red Conquest, Land Air Sea Warfare, Warfare Incorporated, and Amoebattle, which just came out last week. Some other decent ones are Red Alert, Robocalypse, and The Settlers. Check out their app pages on iTunes.
