I remember when it all started out with tapdefense over 2 years ago. TD games on the iOS have evolved exponentially since then. There's so many of them on the appstore..but the best one right now in terms of gameplay, content, graphics, strategy, and fun is probably sentinel 3. PvZ is still my favorite though since it's so casual. Have fun either fun!
I just saw Sentinel 3. I thought it was 2.99, but it's actually 3.99, so I'm unsure about buying it. How much better is it than other tower defense games? What features does it have that those don't? EDIT: NVM, I bought it anyways.
Both are extremely great and you can't go wrong with either. Personally, my preference is Catan because I favor board games over TD, but if you like TD better, obviously Sentinel 3 would be the purchase to make.
By the way, while on the topic of TD games, what are some better ones? I haven't played many on the iDevices at all because I didn't really like any TD games on the computer, but PvZ got me itching to try it out on the iDevices a while ago and I think I'll finally get to doing that today. Please, recommend the BEST of the genre. Thanks!
Sentinel 3 + bloons td 4 are up to par with pvz, making them my top 3. Honorable mention goes to defender chonicles, which mixes in RPG elements.
I just finished the spiderman game from gameloft and loved it! Is it worth double dipping to get the ipad version while its on sale? Are the graphics that much better/improved ?
Is ZombieSmash really worth the time? It's on sale for $0.99 and I'm on the fence... the fling enemy style tower defense games are not my bag but I hear good things.
For me it was a mixed bag. I had a BLAST with it when I first got it and played through it a while, but then it kind of got repetitive and boring.
ZombieSmash is definitely worth it. I kinda wish I had waited a week to get it on sale, though. What makes it more worthwhile than other tower defense games is the sandbox mode.
If anyone was wondering Zombie Escape ($0.99) is excellent, I can't stop playing... and I've never been big into line drawing games. There's a good frantic pace and a lot of power-ups to keep it fun. Thanks Tiltmytouch and n8equalsd... still on the fence but appreciate the feedback (will probably cave and get it).
The graphics look great of course. Its still fun, and at .99 you can't go wrong. I found myself bored by the end, and I didn't bother a second play through. If you already played it, there's better games to spend .99 on.
I need a "what the heak is this...?" game that's really awesome and addicting. Sorta like Enviro-Bear, So Long Oregon, MSD, Hurdle Turtle...
Well we can't really answer that question because we don't know what games you already have and what your tastes are. I would say that if you don't really care too much about waiting, you should wait till the end of January because alot of interesting games should come out soon, such as starfront: collision and dead space.
