I have Luke Cage at 5 red stars and without any question he is weaker than Giant Man and Black Panther. Low damage, short range, only thing good about him is the leadership. At equal star, full-auto no-assist, I find Giant Man to be the strongest combat character, I beat 6 star Black Panther's with half health left consistently, just too much brutal damage. Luke Cage's value is to provide fragile characters invulnerability, Yellow Jacket + Green Goblin with 12 second physical immunity = ouch.
Got 5 Goliath, 4 Spidey and 3 WM Bought the 9.99 pack and clicked WM ( I want that DMG mastery) and it gave me Starlord.... I'm definitely not happy since I clicked WM and their support seems to be down. :/
Would agree, Giant Man seems to be very tough, I accidentally took on a team with a 6* version in arena yesterday, and he single handedly wiped out my whole 5* team. It would be interesting to see how he fares against an equal starred blast hero like War Machine. I know even 5* Yellow Jacket, one of the most OP heros in the game doesn't fare very well against an equal level speed eg Black Widow, at least none of the YJs I've come across.
Agreed. But, to be specific, Giant Man is better in Arena and in missions, but Black Panther is better in high level Villain Siege. That said, any of these two are still top-tier combat types and maining either is never a bad thing. And yeah, Luke Cage is a close third, providing utility instead of damage. What i want to see is how a fully decked out Groot could stand against these guys. Groot with a full +health restoration build is pretty strong. His damage isnt too shabby either, and one of his attacks can cause breaks easily.
I have consistently beaten Lv45 Black Widows on full auto, no assist with my Lv42 YJ. Consistently. Thing is, i think the ones we fight arent fully decked out, and they seems pretty rare. By fully decked out i mean full 4-star+ ISO-8 setups, and maxed out skills and equips. As with other cases, players dont go with a Dodge special gear everytime, coz it's best use is in the arena only. It's still decent outside of the arena, but dealing damage and killing faster can be better in some situations.
I guess that's true. Mind you my BW isn't fully decked out either, she's Level 44, but only a 3 star ISO-8 setup, and level 30 skills, level 10 or so gear, with a dodge special gear. Maybe the fact that YJ was so comparatively quick to farm (up til the update anyway) means that a lot of people haven't had time/resources to fully deck him out yet, either.
Although I don't like Co-op or the monetisation if the new update in its current form, I think the technology iintroduced is pretty cool. Is it just me or is this tech screaming 3 vs 3 Arena/Alliance battles??! Maybe I just play too much Vainglory...

I respectfully disagree. As far as gameplay variety and pure content are concerned, I feel like FF has COC beat. Not to mention their complete opposite F2P models and philosophies: whereas Netmarble constantly has 2-for-1 sales and makes virtually all of their content available for free, Kabam is much more stingy with their rewards, even when you pay for them. Myself, I've been having a blast with this game! I just beat the main story mode in Normal today, and am on my way to 6-starring Giant Man and 5-starring Daredevil and Winter Soldier. Netmarble puts out new content and characters often enough to where I really don't feel bored or like I'm not progressing. If they keep this rythm up, they can count on my buying Tony's Stashes every month (which is something I never thought I'd say about a F2P game)!
I'm with you. CoC is, sadly, better at extracting money from its customers, but that doesn't mean I like them better for it. I played CoC, really liked how they handled fighting mechanics on mobile, but the monetization was maddening. Not to mention that while I liked the mechanics of CoC, all the characters felt very alike with some outright cloning going on.
Yep, I gave CoC more than a fair shake. It's a lazy, lazy cash-in of a game. Mechanically, better than Injustice, but just truly lazy game design overall with the numerous re-used animations between characters and the done to death (but somehow still sometimes successful) $5 gatcha pulls where the odds are WAY against you. I can put my $4/month into this game and know exactly the value I'm going to get from it. I could put $40/month into CoC and the only thing I would know is that, on a practical level, the odds are 9 out of 10 months there would be no functional difference for my game advancement if I had lit the $40 on fire instead. I was able to ignore the monetization for a couple of months, but as my stable of characters grew and I realized how little effort had gone into them I quit and haven't played in ages. NetMarble has put more effort into (pick your least favorite half dozen characters) than Kabam has in their entire game.
Just got good insight... Faced a Lv44 BW in Arena, presumably fully decked out (including a costume) it seems. Mine's a Lv43 YJ, fully decked out too. They were both "first" to face off in the arena so skills were all available from the start. My YJ lost, full auto, no assists. BW was down to a little above 2k hp though. On the downside, this doesnt prove if YJ really loses here since YJ was down 1 level in each skill, and a few one-level worth of stats. On the bright side, it shows how strong YJ is to keep up with a class that's supposed to counter his class, one that has an outfit too. Not only that, it's Black Widow on full auto, which is one of the best i've seen in those conditions. What's also most interesting is how BW's rank6 skill will tip the scales. Im just going to assume she's going to wipe YJ off the floor with an additional skill in the mix, but then that is how it should be to keep YJ in check at least. Also, additionally most interesting, in a different fight in the arena, a rank5 Ronan dropped YJ to less than 3k health. The fear and the break proved to be too much cc to drop YJ down into critical.

Well I bought 2x Siblings of Asgard(50x2), Deadly Duo(50), Biometric Selector(70) and the rest were just Angela by herself. IMO, I should've waited for the next rotation in the Token Shops. I think there will be a high chance Angela will be in either.
Can anyone who is VIP 5 enlighten me as to what the special ISO (red gem) thing does? I assume it levels up an ISO to the next star level? How does it work? What I specifically want to know is when using it, if you level up your ISO on one that has different attributes (eg. the silver one that can be +physical attack OR +all attack), does it maintain that specific attribute of the ISO or does it cause a random change like the normal way of levelling up ISO? Hope that made sense.
It acts like a normal ISO-8 gem for enhancing other gems. It gives better gains compared to equal rank normal ISO-8 gems, but that's that. Nothing game breaking, which is good, considering how "easy" it is to get 3* booster ISO-8 gems now.
