A retro action platformer in the same vein as Goblin Sword I guess, but with a shadowy silhouette art style and a grim dark fantasy setting feeling very heavy metal indeed. You feel it the moment you start the first level and hear the narrator spiel the backstory about a dark civilization before mankind with a king powerful enough to RULE THE DEVIL. So far, gameplay is about what you'd expect. You walk left and right, jump platforms, hit enemies with sword and blast them with magic pickups, three hit points. All serviceable enough. The aesthetic and atmosphere really appeal to me though. It's only a unity engine game so it's not the most polished thing in the world. You have to lift your finger to press the other direction button, you can't just slide your finger over it. The fonts look tacky compared to to the lo-fi reto sprites of everything else. The stage select background has a weird black bar on the left side that looks like it wasn't meant for a 6s sized screen. All small stuff, the control thing is the only real problem. Otherwise the spritework is fantastic, it looks and sounds great and the gameplay is fun if a little standard for a three-HP platformer. I blew through the first three levels in minutes and it looks like there's only 15 so it might be short but hey, a dollar for a bite-sized dark fantasy heavy metal platformer sounds like a good idea to me.
