Don't understand why some people join a 30 minute game only to just remain inactive (status is red) and we can only watch as their timer runs down. Sure, I can do other stuff like browsing the web in the meantime, but it feels like such a drag.
well thats odd although i'm playing on a 4S and ascension barely takes anything of battery, i just did a game against the IA and the battery drop from 95-100% to almost 35%

Also available: The award-winning Dungeons & Dragons® expansions for Lords of Waterdeep – Scoundrels of Skullport and Undermountain! Welcome to Waterdeep, the City of Splendors! A city run by a secret society of masked Lords who rule with shady back-door dealings and unmatched political power. In Lords of Waterdeep players will play as one of these masked Lords and will need to recruit adventurers to go out and complete quests for them. The more quests they complete, the more control and influence they have over the city. Players can expand the city by purchasing buildings that will open up new opportunities within the city walls. Intrigue cards can be used to help the player and may also either help or hinder their fellow Lords in their quest to become the supreme ruler of Waterdeep! Lords of Waterdeep is a turn-based strategy game played in 8 rounds and can be played against AI or with up to 5 human players. Players take turns assigning their agents to do their bidding, whether it is to recruit new adventurers to their tavern or purchase a new building for the city. Points and resources are gained by completing quests, playing Intrigue cards, constructing new buildings or having other players utilize the buildings you have constructed. At the end of the 8 rounds bonus points are awarded and the player with the most points at the end wins the game. Pocketnova Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2012 2,346 0 0 #208 Pocketnova, Jan 21, 2014 I eventually gave into temptation and purchased this today. I've played three games against the AI and lost 2/3. The game is brutal, fun, and strategic. Each game currently helps me evolve my strategy. I'm definitely excited to go online once I've got a bit better feel of the game. Such a fantastic purchase, mad even better by the design as I've recently been playing a lot of board games. 5/5 for sure. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #209 currymutton, Jan 21, 2014 My GCID is griffin611 and I have 14+ online games going and at least 1 turn per day. I still haven't even bought the physical version of the expansion yet for my board game copy, so this will give me the scope of what it adds before I eventually break down and buy it! trystero Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2009 717 3 18 #213 trystero, Mar 18, 2014 Bring it. Preferably by this Thurs. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #214 currymutton, Mar 21, 2014 Define "soon"... Ah, Apple has a time frame for approval kind of thing, so there should be a date. My $$$ is here. Just gear up to grab it, Playdek. On the other hand, I find most do not use Quick Match feature, I have 3 games waiting for opponnents and there is yet to have a match after 24 hours, may be my rating is too gorram low.... nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 864 14 18 #215 nkarafo, Mar 22, 2014 I have never played the physical board game and I read some reviews before buying it for iphone / ipad. Very positive impressions. In the first game, in the tutorial, I won as second with only 8 VP from the first. I made many mistakes but I have learned it better now. I think it's better than Stone Age because you can damage the opponents with intrigues, despite that you can block them from acquiring goods and you can buy buildings which is good because there are alternative ways of acquiring goods and not just the usual places where you have to go to take these. I believe also that with the expansions the game is getting more interesting. By the way, has anyone played the expansion called "Undermountain" ? Do we know if it will be with a price or free? Playdek has made a very fine job for developing to ios! One thing that I could change is the ingame music which is somehow boring. Ticket to Ride USA / Europe has for example better music. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #216 currymutton, Mar 25, 2014 Expansion is out, US$2.99... nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 864 14 18 #217 nkarafo, Mar 25, 2014 If someone has played the expansion, please let us know how it is. Is it worth it? Thanks. There are new mechanics driven by new cards and buildings, new quests, 3 new areas on the main map to place your Agents and new role cards (the hidden 'player') so different things to focus on. Basically more stuff!! scarypharaoh Well-Known Member Aug 26, 2009 889 0 16 Medical Professional With Carmen Sandiego #219 scarypharaoh, Mar 25, 2014 Great! Does that mean like 1 pieces or something? or is it a different resource? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
