It won't be first person it has been said before. You see the map from a top down perspective and you chose where your character will go. It's restricted to key things like chest. When you select the chest the character will move on it's own in a "cinematic manner". So please, those that don't like rails go now. It is on rail. But it's also very different from rage (post release content and gameplay) like it has been said before
Wut? Where did you hear it'd be from a top-down perspective. The last article I read about it said that the camera would be in 3rd person while moving.
That's what I heard as well... I wish the TA reviewers, would contact Chair and try to get a hands on. They could dispel a lot of misinformation. Maybe while they're at it, try and pin them down to get a confirmed release week or date, something less vague.
Pacificsun0481, for your sake I really really hope that this game is utterly fantastic, because you seem to be the most excited person around for this and I'm afraid you might do yourself an injury, if it disappoints!. Point and click games are pretty good, and I think it is on paths because the tap to move controls in Epic Citadel often resulted in you getting semi-stuck at corners, trying to go straight through rather than around them.
Pardon me, but you're retarded. Obviously there's a huge group of user who don't prefer this type of game. To say it isn't a big deal is ridiculous. Who are you to decide what's flawless and what's a let down? This type of game is 'neat' and cool too see such good graphics with some content. However, for it to stand out it actually has to be a good game, and not just look cool. Citadel looked cool. That's enough for me, if that's all this game has going for it. Rpg element? Cool, but it's been done. Don't really need hundreds of flails and daggers. Swipe controls? Whoa, buts it's nothing new. Basically the only thing it has going for it, is looks, from what we all know of it. Not impressed yet. I'm more impressed by citadel then from what I've read of this game.
Agreed. From all the information we've been given, it sounds to me like a weird hybrid between a hardcore and a casual game. Sure the graphics look nice, and it has RPG elements, but it sounds like Fruit Ninja mixed with Myst, with a campaign that takes 20-30 minutes to complete, but requires you to repeat it over and over again to complete the game. Not exactly the ground-breaking RPG we were all expecting. I know it hasn't been released yet, and the game could be transformed into something great. But from what we have been told so far, it doesn't sound too appealing to me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
If you don't think this isgreat buy aralon instead, it is this with not as good graphics but, a better story, gameplay, longer, probably more enjoyable, and more!
After playing a BETA of Aralon, I certainly can't say you're wrong. Or right. You guys haven't played the game yet...
in case this has not been posted yet from pocketgamer http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Various/Infinity+Blade/news.asp?c=25556 will be playing you next week Infinity Blade..
Sounds too good to be true.....I wonder if it's true(hopefully it is) Edit: turns out it's right! I just got a tweet confirming this from the official Infinity Blade twitter! If you aren't jumping and pumping your fist in the air then You should get started.
I was hoping for a 2.99 price tag. Unless you don't have that 20-30 mins of gameplay, and then it's just fighting against online players. but it probably is shallow, so yeah bit disappointed. ah, well at least I can stop check this thead now.
