Big thanks to Shaun Musgrave for taking the time to write about our humble game! We got reviewed by Touch Arcade. The review is positive, it raises a few issues f.e. Graveyard crashes that have since been addressed and fixed. Too bad because it probably cost us at least half a star. Give it a read: http://toucharcade.com/2013/07/13/iesabel-review/
okay, as noone replied when I asked how it was with a lowly ipad2. I can only suspect that the answer is very bad. pity but I guess I'll spend the last of credit on 'great battles medieval' instead.
Hi, Iesabel runs great on ours studio iPad2. Even though it is a 2 years old device and has way weaker hardware than iPad 4, it also has 4 times less pixels to show. You may not be able to play on maximum details though if you want high frame rate.
I am also an ipad2 user and will be until my unit dies. I am pretty disgusted the way apple puts out their hardware updates and assumes we all have £400-500 a year to blow on hardware. Its amusing that my 7 year old ps3 will run all the latest ps3 games but my 1year 3 month old ipad2 is now becoming obsolete and some games either struggle with it or don't run it at all. I don't blame you devs, I blame apple, but I do thank you for supporting the ipad2. As for buying, well I love rpgs but I'm really not sure I would be happy to buy it only to run it on the lowest settings. But maybe future updates will optimise the game, I'll certainly keep an eye on it.
I don't know how much difference the settings really make, to be honest. The game looks fantastic on my ipad 2.
The lowest setting still look better than, like, 96% games on the App Store so there's that Don't be thrown aside by the name "Low settings" Iesabel still looks amazingly good.
This has to be the best dungeon crawler I've played on the iOS in terms of gameplay. The devs have really included just about everything you'd want. Sucks you kind of need the latest device though. It keeps crashing on my bro's Mini, but the co-op is awesome when it doesn't. The game even lags pretty badly on my iPad 4 when I max out the effects. Hope we'll see some more stability fixes and small updates to address some of the roughness in the game. Going to enjoy getting through it though. Been a long time since the last premium Diablo-ish dc. Lastly, the Barbarian's voice..lol. I always choose the caster class anyways.
Glad you enjoy it and you do make it sound very good, but if you are having framerate problems on an ipad4, I think I'll skip. Thanks for the info though.
Apple doesn't assume you have more or less money. They just give you a choice. How would you be better off if Apple decided to stop making its products better? How would that benefit anyone?
I don't really want to start an argument over this but thats a little silly, no one is suggesting they stop, only suggesting that considering their price, the updates are rather swift.
So how does it run on ipad 2 and 3? I am thinking of family co-op and we don't even have 4:s in house..
Count me as another person downloading this as soon as I learned what it was due to the no IAP model for a type of game that I like. I didn't even bother to read through the thread first. I will be playing the game and possibly looking to try multiplayer once it installs.
anyone manage to reset the skill points? or at least know what is the price to reset i keep getting "you dont have money"
I don't have framerate issues on my ipad 2 at all. I turned all the settings down before I even started the game, so I'll have to tinker with those and get back to you on that. I don't think the settings actually change the graphics so much as add in extra effects which have no bearing on gameplay whatsoever. But as I said, I'll have to tinker with them to know for certain.
I have reset my skill points once, can't remember how much but I had a lot of money and it nearly wiped me out lol was like ouch Don't worry you can afford it later just sell everything you come across and you will be able to afford it, it's not much of a grind once your in the later levels
