As someone who doesn't jailbreak, I want to cry for missing iDOS. If it was improved in the first place, does anyone think there's a chance of it returning with some restrictions? Something is better than nothing
more tested games Alone in a dark work 90 % speed and if you put détails to "low", it about full speed.Really better than dosbox on psp. tested on iphone 4.Shufflepuck café work to at full speed. great émulator ! just need Amiga émulator NOW ! - screamer (milestrone) run very very slow but run ! - big red racing : very very slow. - north and sud work full speed.
Sadly, this could not happen. 1) The app store review guidelines state that applications may not download arbitrary executable content. Which means that DOS cannot be put on it. 2) It also says that software developed for app store cannot be put on cydia. If it is put on cydia, then the app will be removed, and the developer's development license may be revoked.
Ok I think I figured it out. But can anyone tell me how to right click on full screen mode? And how to get dynamic to work on ipad?
I managed to get win95 booted myself there after seeing the success although it shows only 16mb of ram in system properties so maybe memory managers or different config settings are needed. Also just tried win 98 (a 98lite image) using the same techniques it's booted up as well but much more slowly. Shows promise if nothing else .
Btw to any rpg gamers out there u have to try darklands. It still is one of the greatest rpgs of all time. Think of a game preceeding Baldurs Gate.
what about speed improvement? Can he still improve it via those who already have it via in game purchases?
16 MB was more than sufficient back in 1995. I could use it with even 4 MB of RAM - with 16MB, almost everything worked flawlessly.
Possible, if over the air updates are built in the app. Over the air updates are what ngmoco and other games/apps use. Know those "Downloading new content" loading screens? They're like a app update, but apple does not approve them because they can't, and it ensures that all apps are up to date. However, as far as I can tell, it is not built into iDOS. You can always get the latest version if you jailbreak. Also, file sharing does not work for me. I get the dialog file to add, but nothing happens when I add it. The file doesn't appear. I've selected Dospad Beta, zipped it, renamed it to .ZIP and also tried the raw file. No luck Latest version of itunes.
Warcraft I .... it starts ... and freezes. So far I got only two games working properly. Should we start making a list with settings?
Not going to go through 65 pages right now, but how have games like classic Apogee stuff done on the iDOS? Or Jazz Jackrabbit? Did the Tyrian port work on similar principals? At the very least, this would be a cool thing to see used by devs who HAVE games to emulate
Can someone provide me directions to install Windows 3 as if I was mentally slow? Someone provided me a link earlier but I don't understand 90% of it. I really wanna do this too. Someone help me?

Untrue. iDOS cannot "brick" your iPad, only YOU can "brick" your iPad. When I saw this at first I laughed. Then I tried duplicating it EXACTLY as you've described and I'm completely unable to get my iPad to "brick" in such a fashion. Deleted the CFG files over and over again and every time I ran iDOS it created a new one. None of this "brick" mess you've been babbling about. Something ELSE you're running on your iPad "bricked" it, not iDOS. Stop blaming iDOS for your own ham-fisted mistakes.
quake runs, albeit a little slowly on an iphone 4. might be better on the ipad. just a note: performance is much better if you launch it via 'quake -nosound'
