Played the game half an hour, till i came to the point where i wanted to requested a refund. Game and graphics feels like an „old game“ to me, sorry. Maybe my expectations after Alien: Isolation were too high.
Have this on Xbox through backward compatibility and will keep it there. It’s a good game but people calling it one of the best of all time are a bit much (the 82 it has on Metacritic is about right). Still nice that mobile users have a chance to play it if they haven’t on other platforms.
You don't need a manual save those are just if you want to save just in case you get killed mid mission.
Just wanted to ask, what's the next best graphics mode in the game after battery saver? It's a little confusing as it has graphics, performance, and performance plus. Which is the one that has the least effect on the battery life after battery saver mode? I'm asking this cause i love playing the game for longer hours without having to worry about charging the battery. It may sound like a dumb question, but would be helpful for me if someone can explain
TouchArcade Game of the Week: ’Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal’ by Jared Nelson *this was last week’s GotW for the week ending Dec 1*
Ok i finally got passed the first part of mission 2 killed the guard in the wine cellar great game so far
Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal is a behemoth of a game. Really great in every aspect. And the learning curve is just genius in this game. In my first mission i died a lot and was quite frustrated till i found out there is a way to manually save the game. This helps a lot in the beginning and will make your ingame decisions much more brave. And once you start to understand the controls and the game mechanics you will become really better from job to job. I‘m now on my 7th mission and didn‘t use the save function for some time. And I never bring a gun or rifle into the missions. It’s a stealth game so you can find ways to get the objectives done without too much violence. I just watch my surroundings carefully and make my plans with the sequence of events in mind. Anyone on the fence about it should give it a try. But I don‘t know how good the touch controls are because I play with a xbox controller. And this makes everything quite easy.
Graphics mode will prioritise visuals over frame rate, Performance modes will prioritise frame rate over graphics however both will be trying to use as much of the phones resources as possible. However if you have the latest flagship phone Graphics mode will likely use a little less energy than Performance + as performance plus really does use a lot of energy due to the 90fps target which is close to the thermal limit of most phones.
Thanks for clearing that out! Has helped a lot in deciding the settings! Graphics mode is almost as good as battery saver for me. FPS doesn't matter much so for now I'll stick to graphics mode. I switch to battery saver whenever I'm running low on juice.

Agreed with the game’s difficulty. Instead of seeing it as an immersive, actiony murder-sim I’ve started to look at it as a nonlinear action puzzle murder-sim. Multiple ways to see solutions to a problem, and even if you don’t get it at first, there might be another way around it, maybe do another thing first because there’s a hidden domino effect for that level (steal a vial of poison so you can put it in the buffet to kill everyone including your target, etc). It’s messy and it’s hard. I’m trying to play on normal only because I want to get a feel for the devs’ intent on how they want us kids back in 2006 ought to play the game. But times are a-changing and I should probably play on rookie to better enjoy my time with the game. I mean, life’s hard enough as is
Correct. There is no sense in playing on a hard difficulty level just because. Especially in games you are not super familiar with the mechanics. Nowadays I tend to enjoy games more if I turn the difficulty down a notch to be able to focus more on the story/exploration. love your reviews on AppRaven btw. They are certainly one of a kind.
Easy level for me ! I just have too many games to play so if I’m in a game and it’s just too difficult and I’m not enjoying it I tend to close and move onto something else. If a games £9.99 ill probably play longer for sure but again if it’s too frustrating I’ll just wanna move on
I just bought it with the sale on, been holding out for a sale on this one since I’ve already got so many games to play already. I generally play normal difficulty, I always assume that’s how the game was designed to be played with any game. I only turn that up to be harder for games where it makes sense to progress and play again but harder. I won’t generally replay most games after beating them on normal.
Yooo thank you so much! I try to pay it back especially when I read really good reviews on AppRaven. I’ve gotten a lot of good deals there too so I might as well do a good enough review of something I enjoyed and found because of the platform.
A valid point Yeah, I know what you mean. you’re more than welcome to join this thread https://toucharcade.com/community/threads/ta-shutting-down-so-where-to-go-now.432807/ thats where we discuss whats going to happen to us all from now when T.A is shutting down. AppRaven is great, but it doesn’t fill TouchArcades place as a plattform with both reviews and a great forum. So thats a problem we need to solve for the furure. Anyway, I don’t want to derail this thread so lets go over there and continue.
