Seems OnLive is really going all out on this one. Old and new customers can pick any game on the marketplace (Excluding preorder titles) for a measly freaking $1! Don't believe me? Well load it up and check out the marketplace.. and for those of you who don't know already, sometime in the near future we'll be seeing an official controller for the ipad which our fearless leader got to try out at E3 earlier this year - http://toucharcade.com/2011/06 /09/onlive-ipad/ (WHICH I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT FOR!) Anyways not sure what game I'm getting yet, I'm thinking Deus ex but I haven't decided just yet. So what game did YOU get?
Whoa, this sounds amazing. Going to have to check this out and get an account. Usually just use Steam for Mac gaming.
F**k it, I'm going with Brotherhood. Got my girlfriend to make an account as well hooked onto my credit card account. The multiplayer mode should be amazing. Sounds like it's going to be an amazing experience overall really. Haven't played a real console game besides Portal/Portal 2 in years..except for stuff on the Wii. Been completely dedicated to portables for the past 5 years pretty much xP. So yeah, this should be awesome.
Brotherhood is amazing, it has similar but better gameplay than AC2, but as for multiplayer, from the times I've played it on Onlive, there's barely anyone online to play with. You can always try both games out and decide.
Haha, well I'll just be playing with my girlfriend so it should be fine. Looks like you can't attach two accounts to one credit card. Guess I'll make her pay the dollar xP. Might start using OnLive lots now, but I'm really not a fan of the concept of renting games for a certain period just as I'm not a fan of buying used games. It's awesome they have so many great games that can be played on the Mac though. Ahem, Steam.
I'm debating whether or not to make a FB account just to get a 1$ game. think i won't. i'm missing out but i have a strong dislike to be associated with Facebook in anyway.
Interesting, OnLive games aren't downloaded even if you get the full pass? Kind of strange that it's a rental service of sorts even if you're paying full price.
I'm so sad that I can't participate in this deal. I like the concept of OnLive, but my internet connection is so bad that I really can't play any game on it. Is there anyway to play games offline?
What marketplace are you talking about? Edit: Ah... OnLive... Never heard about it before at all... I'll pass this then.. i don't need anymore useless programs on my computer.. Steam is enough.
Damn, because you don't actually download the game, OnLive completely kills my limited bandwidth here at the university..4 GB in a little over an hour? Definitely won't be able to play anymore sadly :[. It was pretty damn awesome though playing ACB. Guess it's back to Steam/Mac AppStore. Might get ACB on Steam one of these days.
