After the critically acclaimed release of Furdemption - A Quest For Wings. Austin and Brian (the two sloths at RareSloth) decided to continue the Furdemption story with a sequel. Here's an exclusive look at what's happening behind the scenes. As always we love to hear from fans and welcome your feedback. We will try to update this thread at least once a week! Torches and fire will bring you warmth... Or death.
Rarely do sloths willingly show themselves... Join us on TUESDAY 7PM EST, we're going to build levels! You can get a sneak peak at some of the new stuff in the sequel. Follow us on http://www.twitch.com/raresloth
The spiders have mutated! They now have the ability to launch their heads and re-grow them. Nightmare fuel for rabbits?
It'll be act very similar to the current poison. The only difference is that it kills the rabbit instantly on contact vs. having a short poison animation. We're introducing this "neutral" projectile that will kill the rabbit immediately and break walls just like the poison did. We didn't think that it made sense to have poison breaking walls and crates. We'll still have poison spiders but the poison projectile won't be able to break walls and crates.
Btw, I wonder what would happen if poison collides with heads. Will the heads blow up right away? Or get infected like other animals?
I don't think as many people check the upcoming thread, I'm not around on the forums as much as I use to be either but I'll certainly be picking this one up
Here's a little more information on the shooting spiders. I'm making a serious effort to make our website suck less... Please give your suggestions on what kinds of stuff you'd like to see on our blog! Cheers, Brian
Announcing separate Action and Puzzle game modes in Furdemption 2! In Furdemption 1 the action and puzzle levels were grouped together. This will allow us to make some really challenging action levels for our more hardcore fans while not alienating the more casual players. Read more about it here
New crowns! The rabbits typically rely on their intellect over physical strength. However, the Rabbit King has exclusive access to some magic abilities via crowns. Sometimes you will face a choice of which crown to pick up. For example you dont want to be wearing a fire crown when you need to push a bomb. Read more about crowns
I like how you're adding more depth to a game that was already stupendous! This was easily my favorite portrait game of 2015 and I'm extremely excited to see the sequel out!
Always amazed me at how unwilling some people were to get/investigate the "rage" power up. Players are getting too cautious, haha.
