I got a notification from this app when I was playing a game, so I tapped close and not the other option to see the free game. I then ran this faad app countless times, going into every category to try and get rid of the red 1 bubble that appears on the icon. I tried turning off notifications for the app, restarting, you name it. I finally deleted it from my device and re-synced it, and it's still f***ing there. Wtf?
I love your deluded reasoning. All high quality games have good sales and never need to go free to boost sales. Yup, Sword of Fargoal blows. Tilt to Live isn't even close to quality. Galcon is suuuch a shitty game that I stupidly paid 2.99 for. Next your going to tell me you need good graphics (or rather graphics suited to your taste)
1. Those are 3 out of how many? 2. Of the 3, only Galcon was hyped. SoF wasn't even a FAAD app. 3. Deluded PW fanboy still talking about graphics. 4. I was referring to free sales, not all sales in general. 5. Think before you post.
Samurai: WotW Civilization: Rev Atlantis Sky Patrol Battle of Puppets Bird Strike The Creeps Elementz Heavy Gunner 3D iBlast Moki Jump o Clock Mega Jump Ninjatown Almost all (if not many) of the above fantastic games have been featured on FAAD, with many more. http://toucharcade.com/2010/04/18/sword-of-fargoal-goes-free-for-a-day/ No need to insult/offend... if you don't like someone posting, don't give them the attention you feel they crave. How about that, my friend?
1.Those three? Look at Kirans list buddy. I don't follow FAAD because I spend money to support devs, not sit on my ass waiting for games to go free. 2.Who cares what was hyped? That's completely irrelevant. SoF wasn't FAAD? Ok but they still went free. To get more sales. 3. lolololololololol coming from the guy who doesn't like to read. 4. Why don't you go reread your post? I'm pretty sure you weren't talking about free sales, because that honestly makes no sense. 5. I don't know if that's irony or hypocrisy.
One of the games you listed hasn't even gone free, and please keep it to FAAD. Anyways, Mega Jump turned into a freemium game, I don't think they made it free as a sale. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Some others have already gotten their success, and just wanted renew their attention to the new generation of iPhone gamers (iBlast Moki, for example). However, I guess I will still count those games in. Though they already had success and really didn't need more sales, obviously even more would be nice. As for the rest, there are definitely some high quality games that had to go free to generate interest, unfortunately, but once again, out of the tons of apps that FAAD has generated, that list (even keeping in mind some can and should be excluded) is still pretty small. Oh, and you forgot Tilt to Live. That's preposterous! 1. Read above. 2. Read above. 3. lolololololololol coming from the guy who doesn't like to read. 4. Why are you still using my comebacks when you still have to re-read your post in the other thread about PW? 5. I have a feeling you single me out only because I don't like PW. To summarize, this argument started when I said I would complain about FAAD games because they could only get games that didn't have the quality that would appeal to me. Why? Because most of the games that I do feel have great quality are successful games that many, including myself, have supported and continue to support. Of course, I didn't point out that there are a couple HQ apps that unfortunately go unnoticed, and must submit to going free. And here we are, a couple posts after not including that...>.> Hopefully that will end this pointlessness.
By trying to sound smart, your first paragraph made almost no sense. It,was, like, this, half, the, time. But that's an irrelevant jab meant to make you angry. "But you are right, I do complain about all the FAAD games. All the games that I like are high-quality games that don't need to go free" Does this say anything about free sales? *Thus me "using your own comeback" rolleyes: you didn't even elaborate on that comeback before, presumably because you couldn't) and telling you to reread your post. So there you go, right on your plate. "All the games that I like are high-quality games that don't need to go free" "Because most of the games that I do feel have great quality are successful games..." Fantastic, you just told us twice that the games you feel are high quality are games that have good sales and never need to go free. Also, you changed your argument.* Now you were talking about some list about HQ games going free for more sales and how it was small. Well first of all, this contradicts your first argument because "All the games that I like are high-quality games that don't need to go free" (which says you think all the games that went free aren't high quality ( oh look a quote "So the only games FAAD does manage to get free, I won't like.")), but I'll let that slide. So mind naming a few games from that list? "Some others have already gotten their success, and just wanted renew their attention to the new generation of iPhone gamers (iBlast Moki, for example). *Though they already had success and really didn't need more sales, obviously even more would be nice. " How do you know? The production costs of many games are quite large. Getting in the top 100 doesn't mean they're earning 80,000 dollars a day. You'd have to account for labor hours as well as assets. So basically you're just assuming.* I'm singling you out because you don't like PW? I couldn't care less if you don't like it, but I do care for you parading around telling everyone it's overrated even though you haven't even gotten a quarter way through it.
This coming from the guy who looooooves to read his PW. And are you suggesting that you're pretty much hear just to provoke arguments? LOL. Let's take a look at this conversation: You: There's no pleasing you guys. Complain about everything, no matter how good. Me: But you are right, I do complain about all the FAAD games. All the games that I like are high-quality games that don't need to go free Good job on taking evidence from a conversation we had BEFORE getting into free sales. Just wondering, how did you beat PW with skills like this? If I just told you twice the SAME THING, how did I change the argument? Or do we no longer need to use logic in arguments? Hmm... Me: Of course, I didn't point out that there are a couple HQ apps that unfortunately go unnoticed, and must submit to going free. And here we are, a couple posts after not including that...>.> If I already admit my mistake of leaving something out, and you're still going to berate me for it, I feel really sorry for you. I am quite confident that a game like iBlast Moki, which has won countless awards, praise, and attention, definitely broke profits for the developers. Obviously the game lost steam by the time some newer devices came out, and therefore a sale would've been logical. But yes, you are correct. It was definitely an assumption (still is), and while it's an extremely weak base for an argument, I wouldn't start singling that out with all the problems in your own. So you want me to waste 20-30 hours of my time playing a game I don't like, and then tell everybody the same thing I would be telling if I hadn't wasted 20-30 hours of my time. Besides, I still do suggest PW as a good game if people want a game of that genre. If they don't, then I say it's overrated. Right now, I'm trying to end this pointless argument, but you're still pointing out random things from behind the argument, things that I've already admitted to, and making absurd judgments. If you're going to continue, I'm not going to because clearly all I'm doing is feeding a troll.
"This coming from the guy who looooooves to read his PW. And are you suggesting that you're pretty much hear just to provoke arguments?" lol, yes I'm HEAR to provoke an argument.* "LOL. Just wondering, how did you beat PW with skills like this?" LOL let's look at the rest of that conversation: You: "But you are right, I do complain about all the FAAD games. All the games that I like are high-quality games that don't need to go free. So the only games FAAD does manage to get free, I won't like. Because of this, whenever they hype a game up, I usually end up whining" Me: "All high quality games have good sales and never need to go free to boost sales. Yup, Sword of Fargoal blows. Tilt to Live isn't even close to quality. Galcon is suuuch a shitty game that I stupidly paid 2.99 for." You: "*I was referring to free sales, not all sales in general." LOLWUT? Do you not see the irrelevance of that statement? That last comment makes no sense at all; you never even mentioned FREE SALES. Ever.* So your comeback makes no sense as WE NEVER GOT INTO FREE SALES EVER. Not even after that conversation. Jesus Christ if you don't see that. "If I just told you twice the SAME THING, how did I change the argument? Or do we no longer need to use logic in arguments? Hmm..." Continuing with the fails I see. Before you said ALL games that go free aren't high quality, now you're saying MOST and vaguely referring to some that are high quality. You can just magically change your stance at the first sign of trouble and get away with it. "Me: Of course, I didn't point out that there are a couple HQ apps that unfortunately go unnoticed, and must submit to going free. And here we are, a couple posts after not including that...>.> If I already admit my mistake of leaving something out, and you're still going to berate me for it, I feel really sorry for you. " Alright I'll stop berating you on leaving out the majority of your argument in your first post (directly linking you to "5. Think before you post") "I am quite confident that a game like iBlast Moki, which has won countless awards, praise, and attention, definitely broke profits for the developers. Obviously the game lost steam by the time some newer devices came out, and therefore a sale would've been logical.* But yes, you are correct. It was definitely an assumption (still is), and while it's an extremely weak base for an argument, I wouldn't start singling that out with all the problems in your own. " Single them out then. I'm down with that. "So you want me to waste 20-30 hours of my time playing a game I don't like, and then tell everybody the same thing I would be telling if I hadn't wasted 20-30 hours of my time. Besides, I still do suggest PW as a good game if people want a game of that genre. If they don't, then I say it's overrated." Slow down big boy. I said don't go around telling everyone it's overrated if you've barely played it. That doesn't mean you have to go play it. All it means is stop giving opinions on something your barely tried. I don't give my opinion to others on games I haven't tried "Right now, I'm trying to end this pointless argument, but you're still pointing out random things from behind the argument, things that I've already admitted to, and making absurd judgments."* I think if you reread this post, you'd find you are definitely not trying to end this pointless spat. "If you're going to continue, I'm not going to because clearly all I'm doing is feeding a troll." The best part of the post. I'm the one troll with 6,000 posts, 50+ friends, and has not been banned in almost a years time. Of course Im a troll for simply disagreeing and defending my view. You may wanna rethink that.
At least the completely retarded idiots who hated FAAD because of stuff like making good games go free and charging developers have gone off back to under their bridges. People act like they have a sense of moral justice but inside, out of view of an internet forum where one is represented through the medium of text, we are all looking for cheap deals.
The continuation of unvalid points, deluded reasoning, pulling-random-crap-out-of-nowhere, and evasion of your own problems by pointing out smaller-than-minute problems of mine leads me to shut down this argument. Honestly, you get in an argument in antipication of winning your point. All I anticipate when I click in this thread is correcting problems and dealing with complete nonsense. I'm not going to waste any more of my time, or yours. You have fun in trying to pick out another pointless argument elsewhere. EDIT: Oh, and look, I said unvalid instead of invalid. You better get all over me on that one!
Translation: I couldn't come up with anything to point out so I'll have the last laugh and tell everyone I'm doing the right thing. Back to Starcraft.
At your service! EDIT: Looks like da shiz still wants to argue about pointlessness. Want to pay me to keep arguing with that buffoon? It'll give you a couple more hours of entertainment!! (Well worth it!!)
Why would you guess pvz? In all seriousness, I'm quite curious. Cause it's currently ranked 15 in the top 25 apps in the US, meaning it's making money and has no need to go free.
