I hope the purchase works soon, but last I checked it was still giving the "item no longer available" error too. SO GOOD. Completely original, completely bad-ass. Hell, it's so good, it even made me remember I only had Dawn of the Plow on Android, so that's been rectified. Duke12 Well-Known Member Oct 25, 2013 1,018 41 48 #15 Duke12, Jun 18, 2015 Maybe on iphone, on ipad quite horrible imo since you have to keep your finger on the center slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #16 slamraman, Jun 18, 2015 I have to agree. I love this but would love another control scheme where the whole screen around the centre wasn't the controller. The particle mace one was ugly but it worked a treat. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #17 macplash, Jun 18, 2015 I was just about to buy the game but those two latest posts keeps me hesitant. I'm playing on iPad, that's why I have it. I don't enjoy playing on iPhone because of its smaller screen. So if controls aren't any good on iPad, I'm not gonna enjoy it. That's just a fact. So should I wait until more control schemes are added? If that's even a plan.. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #18 slamraman, Jun 18, 2015 Honestly, it's still a great game - even on an iPad. Dorkus1218 Member Jan 29, 2014 12 0 0 #19 Dorkus1218, Jun 18, 2015 Thanks for the feedback! My philosophy about the center controls thing was that your hand moves enough that it won't get in the way, but if it's a problem for you guys, it's a problem. I admit I don't have a lot of experience playing tablet games, so although the tests I did on borrowed hardware felt good to me, I don't know what's natural for people who are used to it. I haven't played Particle Mace on a touchscreen (although I got to meet Andy and play it at PAX!) It looks like it has a virtual joystick type thing, which I'm not keen on, personally, but I could definitely add as an option. What I'm really thinking of now is testing out a system that doesn't have a set joystick point but just measures the angles your finger is moving anywhere on the screen and turns your character accordingly. Does that sound like it would help? I could add all three options (the current center controls, an arbitrary customizable joystick, and the free-flowing angular thing.) Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on this thread and I love hearing feedback of all kinds! slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #20 slamraman, Jun 18, 2015 Hey there - i honestly didn't mean to criticise in a bad way because it's a blooming great game. I would love an Invisible virtual stick that senses where your finger/thumb goes from your first touch. I'm going to spend some time with it tonight. The Particle Mace controls were great but by golly they were ugly. Great work though, sir. I love the whole vibe with the music too. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
