I have to say I have fallen in love with this game. I first tried it in soft launch and it didn't really grab me. But I picked up again when it came out worldwide and Im glad I did. This is actually a card game I can win - not always, but enough to keep me wanting to play more and get better. And even though there are a lot of card combos, its not so complicated that I have spend all my time trying to figure out what deck to build. I would like to put in my vote as well for a permanent gold doubler at some point.
i like this game. the risk is a very unique element. i've noticed a lot of players seem to go nuts and craft very high risk heroes but im not sure this is a good idea unless you are crafting with very specific strategies in mind. Even with the escape valves like morph or vampires kiss its very easy to get locked out of your escape by void/exhaust and get popped by someone's calm giant for a heap of damage. I think until you have a collection big enough to craft around a critical mass of free activations from the totem abilities its best to spread your risk fairly evenly across your entire deck Remorhaz - is my login if you are looking for a referrer who is active.

Well, you mostly explained why we call this a risk mechanic Even in our team some people prefer having a strong hero cards while other depend on additional skill activations and wait for an enemy to make a mistake. And there's still lots of other ways to play it. We hope that will keep players in our game.
One more note about managing Risk value. One of the often overlooked ways to decrease a Hero risk is to craft it with drawback skills which add weakness but substract the overall risk value of a card (skill 'mad' is one example: a hero with a 'leap' and 'maneuver' can be powerful enough to justify placing 'mad' as a third skill - such card will have a bit reduced overall risk value while still being pretty strong). Just a tip. You know, even our designers often feel completely amazed by how creative combinations people make and how good such Heroes become in certain situations during battles despite they initially seem to have no sense at all That's awesome about Earthcore: it kind of turns players into designers! Question: Is there anyone here on the forum who has already discovered a UNIQUE skill combination on a Hero card and has been awareded with Diamonds and an "First Crafted By" badge? Let me know, we're all curious how active TA community is in discovering new Heroes (if not, there are still tens of thousands of combinations to be yet discovered by you guys )

yep i got 1. thats a pretty cool reward.i think most ccg players wish they could design cards for the games they play and this is a way to do that. if badges is what you want i think Aqoo and other 3 open slot heroes are the way to go.
any reason to not send those goblins to the lottery? i was about to then i imagined some sort of goblin tribal mechanic in the future that would leave me sad i didnt have the basic goblins.

Can I reset my account and start over? Kind of backed myself into a corner and winning any new cards is almost impossible. Replaying old levels also yields a very small amount of additional gold, so I'd just be grinding instead of gaming.
Is your crafting engine limited to hero crafting or is it going to expand some time in the future to include non-hero combinations?
I have crafted 3 unique heroes and got a reward, but that could be because I have been playing as soon as the game launched About getting good cards - after playing till book 3 and playing about 50 arena matches you should have about 1000 diamonds from quests only and gold to buy at least 3 army packs. Use diamond to buy packs with guaranteed gold cards or silver packs with 3x chance for gold. This should net you a deck that can stand against other decks in arena to earn more gold. Now the quests are much harder and diamonds therefore harder to obtain (this is a free to play after all and the devs have to make some money somehow), so be smart about buying diamond packs. Ignore bronze, ignore crafter packs, even one gold or silver card in your deck can win you the whole battle. I have risen through bronze league only with one golden Ice Rogue, one Vampire and Crows (reshuffle your hand) - I was mind playing my opponents into playing counter hands if I reshuffled into a Vamp or Rogue. I haven't spent real money...yet. I'm really liking this game, so I will support the devs soon. So what I mean to say is - be smart with your purchases and be even smarter in battles. This is a game of wits much much more than it is of cards.
i went on a wicked winning streak and just hit rank 21 in gold league. i thought that was impressive until i scrolled into diamond and there is one person there with 2k MMR already.
Did you try to use some unwanted cards in the lottery and gain gold for new booster packs this way? At the moment there's no option to reset an account and start over since it's connected with Game Center. A lot of people already asked us about it and we decided to add this option in one of the future updates.

TequilaMobile you might want to look into the leaderboards for hacking. the top two players currently are level 6 and 9 with over 2200 MMR. considering everyone else with over 2k MMR is level 50 + this seems a bit shady.
