When i switch off the music, close Doom and then open Doom later, the music is still running, although the musicicon is turned off.
It is now May of 2014, and I'm still having this problem on my iPad 2. Must be iOS 7? I wish they would fix this. Great game, but I miss putting on my own music!
Maybe they are preparing an app that includes Wolfenstein 3-D, DOOM Classic, DOOM 2 all together! Maybe...just maybe..
DOOM Classic on iOS needs an update, to avoid the 32-bit app shaming of "this may slow down your phone" warnings.

Yeah the log in thing is kind of annoying, I have a Beth account so whatever but it's strange one game forces it on you and one game doesn't. Also just for the record since I don't see it mentioned anywhere, both these games have MFi controller support and play awesome with dual sticks. Only problem I've seen is that the Start button won't trigger the pause menu, but weirdly the controllers navigate inside the menus just fine. Might be a bug.
Yeah created an account. Didn’t take long Controls work very well. Had to slow down the game a bit as I was whizzing around Such great memories playing the first level. So happy this is back !!
You have to for both actually. You know, I never thought this day would come. It was absolutely agonizing checking the App Store over the last half a decade (plus) to see that there was no chance in hell I’d be able to play DOOM on my iPhone. With this only previously available in select App Stores and the last time I played DOOM being on my old Note 3 in 2013 (thanks to a stellar “shell” app that required the original game files), I clicked on the links for both of these games thinking “LOL, like it would ever happen”...only to nearly spit out the Coke I was drinking. Literally. I bought both with eyes on the brink of tearing up. That’s how much these two stupid games mean to me. EDIT: Oh, II doesn’t force the log-in? Dunno. I just used my account once and it auto-logs-in every time. EDIT 2: Ah, I see...tiny “Skip” button.
To be fair it just takes minutes to create an account. Haven’t been spammed or anything. A pain but doesn’t take long to do
